Mostly football, mostly Arsenal. Bisschen Weltschmerz und BVB. He/Him.
Quality moment just happening to bump into you. We'd already downed our share of prosecco by then too and had plenty more after, probably for the best! Hope the stetson makes it to Budapest

Great timing for this to be announced the same day as a Bernardo Silva interview in which he bemoans referees being inconsistent when calling fouls for holding.
NEW: Arsenal had no answer to Man City's zonal 4-2-4 press at Wembley. There's been a month, and maybe some help from Liverpool, to find answers if the same thing happens this weekend. For @arseblog.com: arseblog.com/2026/04/tact...
Like last night - I thought he was pretty good and really important for us controlling things. By no means his best performance, could offer more, but some see no goal/assist and it's immediately 'no, rubbish, only goes sideways' which just doesn't line up with the facts at all:
NEW: How big performances from Timber, Gyökeres, Eze, Saka helped Arsenal dominate a disorganised Spurs. It was promising to see more from players who have underwhelmed. Now, as Arteta said, it is about doing it again and again and again. For @arseblog.com: p1r.es/4ctzPxN
Yep, I wrote about this issue recently and referenced Wenger likeanewsletter.substack.com/p/cats-and-d...
NEW: Arsenal look inhibited and Arteta has often been seemed too cautious. But I can't help but wonder if he's trying to change on that front and it's the scars of the players, not the manager, showing in recent weeks: likeanewsletter.substack.com/p/the-inhibi...
Maybe that ball should've gone in yep but you don't get the ball every single run you make, so you need to make loads. When Frimpong was down Timber looked like he wanted to play that ball and Gyökeres didn't make the run - let's not cherry pick one time and ignore others?
I definitely was more optimistic than has panned out and I don't like blowing my own trumpet like this but I think I was pretty close to the mark some of this in the summer after watching a fair bit of him and going through some of the numbers likeanewsletter.substack.com/p/gyok-n-rol...
NEW: Arsenal dominated the second half in the win over Aston Villa but control was earned with aggressive pressing and an in-possession tweak in the first half. For @arseblog.com: p1r.es/4snFWcb
Across Arsenal's last four games, the team has held a one-goal lead for almost half the minutes played. In the equivalent of two games of football, they've conceded just ten shots. That doesn't sound like a team suffering from too many nerves or struggling to see games out.
NEW: A series of narrow wins has plenty of Arsenal fans nervy and it can feel like luck is being ridden. But maybe it's Arsenal's opponents who are lucky to be avoiding bigger defeats? likeanewsletter.substack.com/p/riding-you...
Best part of Martinelli's goal on Wednesday? Neuer realising what's about to happen and instinctively lurching to bring him down.
