Mine this week. York. Tiny concrete yard for which I built troughs. Grew these "biennials" from seed. Took 7 years for them to flower.
Last four from the wonderful @yorkmysteryplays . A great, slightly surreal way, of representing the three Marys at the Resurrection. Annas, Ciaphas, Herod and Pilate were stick puppets. Big cast in some plays, small (human) cast in others. #york
Fifth four from the wonderful @yorkmysteryplays . Voices of a couple of chaps behind me, rather taken by the engineering, "Ohhh, so that's how they do it." Not sure whether or not the emotion was lost on them! #york
Fourth four from the wonderful @yorkmysteryplays . I was already in tears from the Slaughter of the Innocents (last pic in the carousel of my previous post.) Then the lady who played this Mary (yeah, in the blue) was _incredible_. Not to say thay many others involved weren't extremely fine. #york
Third four from the wonderful @yorkmysteryplays #noah #dove #york
First four from the wonderful York Mystery Plays. I stood for 5 hours in St. Sampsons Square and enjoyed every minute.
I've been to the Yorkshire Museum several times but had never spotted this before. It's in a slightly concealed location. Go hunt for it and discover whom he would have been smiling down on.
Free standing tavern sign I made for my D&D tavern. Scratch built.
The determination of the pointing made me think of the Manet painting:
York Art Worker's Association members' outing this month was a visit to the remarkable @thinicepress @wordsmith.bsky.social . Art meets engineering. Photos @laurence.tilley.photography

York Railway Station this evening. See those yellow flashes, those are delays. Every train, some by up to an hour. It just seems to be almost always like this when I travel by train up here. If you live elsewhere and think people in the North of England moan about their rail services...
Last ones from Mother Shipton's Cave, weekend before last. Beautiful place to visit. I recommend it.
Mother Shipton's Cave. Knaresbrorough near Harrogate and not too far from York, Yorkshire, weekend before last.
Mother Shipton's Cave, Knaresborough. Last Saturday. Granddog Compo is getting a doggy ice cream. #Labradoodle
Mother Shipton's Cave. Day before day before yesterday. Knaresborough. Including Granddog Compo #Labradoodle
Mild enough to sit out and read. My little acer, despite having faced winter in a 10" terracotta pot, has come back rather handsomely.
Took the banger out yesterday. Bolton Percy near #York #Yorkshire.
