Hundreds, if not thousands, of ancestral Puebloan sites will lose any semblance of protection. It is not like looters care, but now there's little to protect these sites. Google "Operation Cerberus Action" and see just the kind of people who are out there just salivating at this executive order.
One of the more beautiful spots to have woken up on our trip through Bears Ear NM last year. White Canyon is stunning. This is no longer protected.
The concrete slumlord says "[you] can't do anything... you can virtually not even walk on it" regarding Bears Ears and Grand-Staircase Escalante NMs. I hate this.

The "chinese writing" rock style of this stone is my bucket list rock here in Washington State. Tons of it on the coastal beaches and near Lake Easton, but I am hoping for that perfect specimen.

New 1/32 scale cutaway Boeing Inertial Upper Stage (IUS) launch system model. I saw a vintage contractor model and though it would be fun to replicate with a cutaway showing the solid fuel and initiators. Used by Titan and shuttle for geostationary and interplanetary missions. #3dprinting #nasa
We had a small #earthquake tonight, a 3.8 forty miles to the north near Oak Harbor. I would have missed it if our tv cabinet didn’t rattle. Turns out it was enough to push my 3d printer’s hot end into the print causing it to topple. Should I call FEMA? #earthquake

Took a stroll out to the Big Four ice caves up the mountain loop today. Drizzly mood but beautiful and tons of wildflowers. So many dumbasses going into the caves. (Avalanches accumulates each spring on the shady side of this mountain and eventually caves form. There can be lethal collapses.) #wawx

Damned fuel prices. In the before times I would have not hesitated to just drive and parke somewhere near Othello, WA and waited for it to roll in. Back in May 2020 a similar pattern set up and it was beautiful. #wawx
