Mindful of the travel hassles and dangers, when I see a plane overhead, I always say, I hope everyone of you in that plane is safe and happy today. And I wonder if any people ever made a request for my happiness or safety; a request I will never know about.
I had cheap white wine so I made this wonderful dish with pan fried scallops and shrimp tossed into a butter white wine sauce. One cup of the wine for the sauce & with ice added had two cups to drink. Next day, my body let me know in no uncertain terms, it was NOT a mindful choice. Mindful PRACTICE
Be mindful of what you are gathering in this life. Depart this world and all earthly possessions remain. Those belongings are organized and redistributed. Some will want a memento to remember the person by; others may look for a thing's monetary value. Note: do some donating & tossing when you can.
For the past several days my swims have been cut short or I haven't been able to get in the water because of lightning/rain storms. However, I am mindful of what I have seen. I want to share this beauty; see the lightning that warns me not to swim?
Mindfulness and painting combine to create a calming practice that uses sensory focus and repetitive brushstrokes to quiet the mind. Key elements of this creative process include focusing on the present moment, letting go of perfection, and engaging your senses.
Mindfulness of AI depends entirely on human intent. Its development and deployment often lack mindfulness when creators & users prioritize profit over ethical considerations and societal impact. As I think about AI I firmly believe it is not an invention that we are mindfully implementing.
Making a floral arrangement is a mindful activity. Trimming each stem, choosing a complimentary vase. Placing water in the vase about 1/4 high. Adding the floral preservative. Then lifting each stem into the vase and positioning it to display it in the most sculptural way. Smell them, place them.
Mindfulness is like looking into blue water—the quieter it becomes, the more clearly we see. Where blue meets reflection, mindfulness begins. What we see outside often mirrors what we cultivate within.
Are you mindful of how we have such dietary diversity? It largely stems from early humans being highly observant foragers, watching what birds&animals ate rather than deadly trial & error. Monkeys use their strong teeth, agile hands to rip off the outer husk then smash the coconut.
Be mindful of how you are feeling before you choose a movie. Any movie you watch will have various images that create responses which create feelings. Only take in what you are certain you can emotionally regulate to keep your peace.
Practice mindfulness by honoring your feelings with self-compassion. Our experiences shape how we respond to others; even their death. Mindfulness helps us notice what threatens our inner peace, respond with wisdom instead of pain, and treat ourselves with the same compassion we offer others.
Mindful somatic grounding: Stand or sit outdoors where sunlight directly touches your skin, or, if possible, stand in a ray; preferably barefoot on grass or sand. This is Sunlight Meditation. Explore and Empower Yourself with the Healing. You can also close your eyes and visualize sun rays.
Have a mindful morning. Savoring the things that ARE good in your life, smile. No matter what your plan, or the road you're on, be grateful there are moments to look for beauty. Spiritual teacher, M. Flickstein, said: Everything comes to pass, nothing comes to stay.
Each moment is a new beginning. Pink peonies primarily symbolize romance, love, and good fortune. Known as the ultimate flower of affection, they represent heartfelt emotion, deep appreciation, and happy beginnings.
Isn't it wonderful to find a roadside surprise? In the grass, there they are, flowers which took root from seeds that rode the wind and became beautiful without a plan.
Pink cloud. Palm tree. Slice of moon. A mindful reminder that beauty asks only to be noticed. They are all reminders that all is well in the very present moment.
Mindfully notice the countless differences in people, plants, and animals. Diversity isn't a flaw—it's nature's design. Everything is interconnected, and our differences make the world stronger, more beautiful, and endlessly interesting.
Mindful that small things are mighty. Because the date palm seed looks and functions much like an acorn, it represents the concept that something small and seemingly unassuming holds the blueprint for a giant, life-giving structure. It is a reminder that prosperity requires patience and nurturing.
Combining mindfulness practice with a Purple Passion Plant (Gynura aurantiaca) grounds your mental wellness in a living space. The velvety purple hairs and vibrant leaves serve as a beautiful focal point to reduce daily anxiety and enhance your daily focus.
Combining potted flowers with mindfulness practice creates a grounding sensory exercise. This "single-tasking" activity anchors you in the present by engaging your sight, touch, and smell, which reduces anxiety and stress.
Mindful thoughts: If humans could let go as easily as a sunset dissipates they would always be happy and never be greedy. Scatter your light, your precious energy that you can never reclaim, over beautiful, worthy people and things you enjoy doing.
Mindful that the morning moon has a different essence against a crisp blue sky. A reminder that what (or who) surrounds us effects us.
Be mindful of impermanence,. Like this cloud what is in the moment will change in the next moments.
This is a very mindful story; a woman wanting to make the world a more beautiful place. If anyone buys books for children, find this book.
Mindfully pause and reflect upon the bearded iris which symbolizes strength guided by wisdom—standing tall, communicating truth, and offering hope through change.
We may choose it because it’s green and flowering—but have we paused to consider what it truly needs to thrive? We often do the same when choosing a partner: we like how they look and how they make us feel, without considering what they may need from us. Remember, we want a partner, not a project.
Even in the hottest places, we look for shade. Emotional moments are the same. When feelings burn, mindfulness becomes shade—softening the heat so we can stay present. We can’t erase the sun or instantly change what’s happening, but we can choose thoughts that make the moment bearable.
Here's Squeak. He is a bit puzzled because someone disturbed his nap. However, cats are natural masters of mindfulness. They instinctively live entirely in the present moment without worrying, you can easily adapt their feline behaviors to improve your own mental well-being and stress management.
