Crafts of many types, including silver jewellery, lapidary, book binding, watercolours and leather work to name a few. Also a fan of warhammer miniatures, Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. Pictures of all of the above will most definitely appear here.
Just a try out idea using two colour paint. This pot is mis-shaped so is going to be used just to try different things on. I’ve used two different paints on this, gold/blue and green/brown.
Making progress on Thanatar slowly. The gap on these two part wasn’t the best so liquid green stuff to the rescue. I apply a small amount then using a wet old brush to smooth and thin it out.
I think this is a dung beetle I found in work, now released back outside.
Stage one has been completed. Yes I’m getting bench time, I’m as surprised as you are. #Thanatar
Promised myself I wouldn’t start it yet, but it just sat there staring at me saying build me! So I cut and cleaned up the first piece only.
Came home from work to a gift from my son. Not seen this before, it’s a bit of big mini. Looking forward to this one.
Had a bit of an accident today, she got knocked off the shelf she was on. Broke an arm and lost a finger. Rather than repair I’m ordering a replacement mini. Now should I repaint in the same colours or a different colour this time round?
Not been at the bench for abit. Holiday and working shifts really doesn’t help. However last of the steelhelm free guards is done. Base rim is still wet in pics.
I always go down the side streets when on holiday. You find the little hidden treasures down those streets away from the main tourist strip. Pefkochori, mainland Greece.
The little tank is done. Sweet little build and paint this was. Now what to do with it? Might put it flea bay as I’m not going to use it in a game. Or if anyone in the UK is interested just cover the postage.
WIP I love how this little tank has come together. Still a bit to do to finish it off.
This weekend so far, A great little tank kit from Battle front group(free with wargames illustrated magazine. The last Steelhelm freeguard. And a shield for a fusilier ready for priming.
I’ve had cacti since I was a kid. The middle one of the three flowers every year for me, And the one on the left has flowered regularly for me, will it this year?? The one on the right tends to just be very spiky and doesn’t do very much, But hurt.
Penultimate Steelhelm done, since photos taken base rim has been painted. I’ve also made a good start on the last one of this set. Next up after will be the fusiliers.
Got some bench time today. 1. The next Steelhelm has a big sword so let’s make it flashy. 2. Mortisan Ossifector piece no1 has been cleaned up and rattle can primed. 3. Ironweld cannon barrel put together and rattle can primed. I’d say I had a productive day today.
Just trying out the new Garmin. Evening walk with the four legged one.
Took the dog for a walk today around Chew Valley Lake, There’s a cracking fish n chip shop there. While there these showed up.
I have been getting bench time. I’am now nearly there with the 9th steelhelm, an Ork I had for sometime has seen some paint. And a kit I received as a Christmas present, not started but will be soon. I intend to photograph each and every stage of it.
Yesterday was a tough day, said good bye to the FIL. Now reunited with his beloved wife.
WIP What happened? I’ve gone from 4 nearly finished to 7 in a short space of time, go me. Age of Sigmar.
Bill taking a walk on the wall at Clevedon sea front. He gets a better view from up there.
A sunny walk with Bill finally, Gorse in flower, a broken lamppost with sculpture, the overgrown remains of Mangotsfield station and Bill stood in one of the old station windows. PS Gorse flowers smell of coconut don’t you know.
I love a barn owl painting. Here’s one I did a few years ago. My sister named it Brian, one showed up the day my father passed away, he was called Brian.
Number 4 is nearing completion finally. I just wish I had more time to paint, I’am loving these minis. I like orks but these are a whole different ball game. My own colour scheme for these, I like to think of these hiding in woodland waiting to strike. #40k #citiesofsigmar #warhammer #gamesworkshop
Some daffodils to brighten your day. After the awful weather we have been having of late, a bit of sunshine yellow.
