I'm 3 months after my total knee replacement. I go back to work next week. I'm doing very well bending; I can sit cross legged! But, I can't seem to get the last few degrees of extension, which would mean I'll limp. Limping hurts my back, and hips, and such. So I got this new toy to try.
I gave my new knee a trial run this week. I hiked the yellow and white trails, and a section of the blue. Tired, slow, but I made it! (10 weeks post surgery)
Here's one suggestion to NOT say to someone who had a total knee replacement 7 weeks ago, when they show you their new knee. Do not say, "Oh my god, that's terrible"! It's not, it's a lovely neat scar that will lighten and flatten with time.
