This is Stella, a thirteen year old bobtail who follows my husband around like a puppy.
They act like they're starved every night. We're in Tennessee. Our subdivision backs up to a small river. We have lots of wildlife visit.
Our Stella is 14. She talks to my husband because he is usually the one who feeds her.
I ordered this Pat Conroy book from Betterworldbooks and was surprised it was signed.

Yes. Stella is so pretty, but she's the strangest cat we've ever had. She doesn't like to be brushed or picked up. And she's the pickiest eater ever. But weirdly, she's usually good at the vet's. For a cat rescued from an apartment parking lot she's had a good life. Here's a pic when she was young.
Dinner is served. Poblano peppers with shrimp sautéed in butter and seasoned with Mexican spice blend, topped with queso dip.
Yesterday I posted a video of a deer in our yard and called it a he. Boy, was I wrong! I wondered why it hung out in our yard the night before and most of yesterday. Look at this!
We had a visitor this morning. He was also around back nibbling on some lilies.
I don't know where these cuties live. Our subdivision backs up to a small river, so probably somewhere near it. They do come up the driveway which points in that direction.
We got our absentee ballots. I read the instructions and noticed a couple of things I didn't remember. One is members of the military don't have to stamp their ballots. And I'd forgotten they have to be received by the time polls close. They don't make it easy.
I won't be around unless I live to be 99. I'm very, very angry at the moment. We attended the last No Kings rally. We donate even though we need to be doing repairs to our home. Here's my husband at the rally. The "No Kings, No ICE, No war was my sign.
Boy, some people really get their panties in a wad if you block them. I got a good laugh out of the all caps list.

We saw Rocky Horror at Franklin Theatre in October just a couple of days before Halloween.
Yes, it was. Our old asses made it to downtown Franklin, Tennessee. That's my husband in the frog costume, the only frog there. He got lots of people asking for a picture.

We ended up with Stella in a similar situation. She's a pretty girl, almost 14 years old, but she's not a pet. She's about 14 pounds and bobtailed. I beg her almost daily to be a pet. She is pettable when hungry. But we love her.
