As an auto-immune patient with a long history, it is not often that I go to the doctor and come back with good news. In the last few hours, I got results from separate follow-up testing on unrelated systems and both said “no worries, old thing resolved, come back in a couple of years.” (!!!)
Stills from my random hometown in the interior of Argentina today (a small city of 180,000 people). It’s quite something to see! Credit to the Despertar Entrerriano publication that popped up on my insta feed. 🎇🇦🇷⚽️🇦🇷🍾
Pregaming with @rmcgibbo.bsky.social at Raíces Argentinas in Brooklyn
@olvofficial.bsky.social Filming this week on 8th Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Same code name also has signs on 12th between Prospect Park West and 8th Avenue (for Tuesday?)
Juniper has had it with the obnoxious Argentina fans Cc: @rmcgibbo.bsky.social
Okay, I’ll take it. Posting the link because you all made me look too hard for this, as if it were a PACER filing mentioned in the news: britmonkey.com/2020s-politi...
Definitely watching more sports in the last two weeks than over the last few years. 🇺🇸⚽️ Cc: @rmcgibbo.bsky.social
We were still in L.A. tonight, catching our flight back to NYC at midnight. This is the sports bar where we watched the game singing “Empire State of Mind” ❤️
Apparently we’ve reached the Skyfall era of airplane security videos. See you in London, all.
Currently enjoying dinner in our neighborhood with two cocktails called “Chinga la Migra” and “Bad Hombre.” We previously tried the “Abolish ICE.” And they’re super delicious cocktails, too. Cc: @rmcgibbo.bsky.social
Signs that the AI is cruel is that my Apple photo shuffle correctly identified that this, albeit unrecognizable, was Juniper. And this is how @rmcgibbo.bsky.social learned that you don’t say “just trim” for a double-coated dog, though they should have known better. Still it grew back!
Some of Drusilla’s dolls escaped and ended up in Santa’s Village in Holliston, MA.
Counterpoint: maybe Watson was a misogynist and a racist from the start and shouldn’t have had any sterling reputation to begin with. This is him, in his own words, on Rosalind Franklin. (Robert recalled an even worse story involving Franklin, which I haven’t read for myself.)
Bonus: Husband and dog as dinosaurs. The raccoon is in a slasher film.
I saw someone posting about NYC children having a “weak” Halloween, and this is my three block radius in spontaneous (bad) pictures. Yes, there’s a shipwreck with a candy chute around the corner from me and the boulder of doom from Indiana Jones one block away.
My phone decided to show me this TBT picture of Juniper, which I didn’t even remember, and I just can’t with the cuteness! Here’s the timeline cleanse you didn’t know you needed.
From downstairs, I could hear my dog was distraught. Inconsolable whining. Either she had got herself stuck behind a closed door somehow, or a ball had rolled beyond her reach where only a human could get it. The ball(s): see below. At least she won’t ever fall down the stairs, I guess?
Juniper went to the vet today and was told she should lose 5 pounds. She disagrees and is demanding that I post thirst traps.
We had a good run until the post-dinner dog walk, when the booms started. Now:

Thank you for this public service that just reminded me to take my meds. Juniper says hi back.
