Just met the handsome praying mantis who lives in the tiny rooftop garden where I live.
Nearly landed. The captain decided at the last moment to do a go-around due to high winds near the runway, not my favorite feeling. So we got to gaze more at the CN Tower in the distance.
Starting to worry about a Groundhog Day scenario. New flight to Toronto is scheduled to depart at 3:45pm. Thunderstorm is expected 2:30-4. Wheee!

Meanwhile, no one is changing the tire. I can’t really blame them. There has been continuous rain, thunder, and lightning since we deplaned.
I missed my connection back to Toronto due to thunderstorms in Chicago. The rescheduled flight is now delayed because they need to change a tire. They deplaned us passengers while they do that. But the plot thickened when a Chicago police car, ambulance, and then fire truck pulled up to the gate.
Everywhere I go this summer, it seems wildfires have already arrived. Current coordinates: Bozeman, Montana.
The air quality in the Air Canada lounge at Toronto Pearson Airport ain’t the best. Why does this still happen in so many public places when it’s clearly at odds with public health standards? (CO2 should be well below 1000ppm if we want to think clearly/avoid illness.) Don’t we all deserve better?
