18/yo Paleo-art nerd aiming to be a paleontologist, my blood is replaced by ink. I'm really a fan of pseudosuchians, playing the piano, FNaF, anything Fujimoto writes and draws, and many other things. Btw: GET ME OUT OF VENEZUELA
Deinosuchus reference, the second largest, and one of the most popular crocs in the world, with a proportonally inmensely head Very fond of water, not so much at land. Giant turtle crusher and the bane of any dinosaur taking a swim on the western interior seaway, HD link below
Xilousuchus, dated at 244.6 ± 2.8 Million years old, its the oldest named archosaurs, and a pretty derived one, indicating they diversified VERY early right after the Permian ended and Stangerochampsa, a tiny-headed late cretaceous alligatorine with round, crushing teeth!
sounds and looks like doodoo i know but im venezuelan so its ingrained into my hardware
My tablet is out of commission for now so have this Smok wawelski with colored pencils (for @cascoclauda.bsky.social
hundreds of high walking caiman footprints on the river :P (sadly theyre nocturnal and probably know im obssessed with them so they hide anytime i go)
Arizonasaurus, a sailed critter, one of the most interesting triassic crocs yet known, and with a wider head than its initial description reconstructed it as And the northamerican species of Boverisuchus, a tall headed ziphodont eocene eusuchian with terrestrial affinities
Here we also have Uberabasuchus (probably the same animal as Peirosaurus itself), Sunosuchus as a good ol' Goniopholid, and a triassic critter who starred on a certain recent show
Stuff from some weeks ago thanks to @toyotamaphimea.bsky.social for pics of the Effigia specimen, i couldnt have done this without her, its an animal whose proportions get often misrepresented Batrachotomus' mount and often-drawn skull shape is also based on a squished smaller individual
LIVYATAN now, PLEASE🔴🔴, the first wave of donations for the recent, giant earthquake, has passed, but they're now more needed than ever, DON'T let the news die down, donate or share the link below if you can 🙏🙏🙏⬇️⬇️
Design by hekersobek!! now, 🙏PLS, consider donating to the verified emergency relief campaign regarding the recent earthquake that hit venezuela, there are many people currently trapped, injured and homeless, link below⬇️ try turning VPN on or off if it doesnt load at first
It's 100% a paracrocodylomorph pseudosuchian that clade diverges into loricata (which has the rauisuchids) and poposauroidea, it has been suggested to belong to either, and i'm REALLY leaning Rauisuchid, but at least we're clear it was never a theropod i could list why if asked :P
Smok wawelski.... a big paleontology enigma...? NO, THIS THING WAS OBJECTIVELY NEVER A DINOSAUR!!!! anyways here are its funky proportions :3, couldnt pass the chance once i found good pics and scans of the thing
One i had to unfortunately omit, is one of the most complete specimens of Prestosuchus completely undescribed and smuggled to Japan, where it now sits mounted up, the ACTUAL FOSSIL ROCK, on a museum in Tokyo :(
Now the BIG boys (one of them awaits further preparing) One worker actually took at stab at splitting their species, a sentiment i agree with!, but it seems he did it in a way that wasn't up to the formal ICZN rules.... giving us the nomen nudums: "Karamuru" & "Huenesuchus"
here we have some little guys (one of them formally treated as a new taxon),one REALLY complete specimen (showing different proportions! with a small head and long neck) and then the really big-headed holotype specimen
🪄PRESTO!🪄 Skeletals of several Prestosuchus specimens or well... "Prestosuchus", as there are definitely multiple taxa in here distinct from the holotype, its a bit of a brazilian loricatan waste-basket... (some really large!) one-by-one down on replies!
it came from a place of genuine concern, i was doxxed and harassed by one of the many guys with that exact emoji combination for a while

This one's been in the works for a bit of a while: Postosuchus skeletals! including the type species (P. kirkpatricki) and P. alisonae, alongside other sp.'s there is an appreciable proportional reduction of the forelimbs between the juvenile paratype and the holotype specimen
Whats up with bluesky and not letting me upload anything over a minute 😭 anyways i composed an arrangement of Scarlet Forest from the Deltarune OST :P
Quick skeletal reconstruction of Carinthiasuchus! a newly published possible poposauroid
"Got'cha nose!!" Kronosaurus, a bus-sized pliosaur, ambushing a herd of Platypterygine ichtyosaurs (art commission for @BeatTheBread on twitter :3) based in an actual specimen! (down in replies)
And it happened again! Cerrejonisuchus, a bizarre, small-headed dyrosaurid that lived alongside titanoboa its been concluded to be relatively terrestrial, but i seriously, really doubt it given how small its limbs are its lenght has been underestimated due to regressions based on its tiny skull
Oh and have this Deltasuchus i forgot to post 2 weeks ago as i still await the moment i can get to post my finished commissions lmao
as for Kaprosuchus, this does mean equally large limbs are the most parsimonious possibility so far yet, as Mahajangasuchus too possesses a skull adapted for a semiaquatic lifestyle
Mahajangasuchus skeletal! (remade with scans and me better knowing what im doing this time a year later, lol) It never had your regular croc proportions, this is a proud long-legged notosuchian! with large, strong legs and girdles, and perhaps a ventrally-facing glenoid
