My superhero rocked her clinic visit yesterday. She's chuffed because she is now 168cm and closing in on me pretty quickly. I'm chuffed because she advocated for herself (in German!!) and the pump is clearly making life easier and better for her.

Today would have been my Dad's 75th birthday. This was nine years ago when he last visited us in 2017. His was the first birthday celebrated in our new place. He helped us move and put together so much of our furniture. He was a good bloke, and he loved cake.
The Marmorkuchen went down well, too. I took slices of both cakes to the admin staff and security because we were all pretty sad yesterday.
It smells amazing. I didn't have a bundt pan so used a spring form ring tin - I was worried the batter would leak out as it really was very liquid. Nope. It's perfect. I used melted butter rather than oil simply because that's my preference.
It was twelve years since we moved to Germany on Tuesday and throughout that time we have occasionally said, "oh hey, we should go to Partnachklamm." We finally went today and boy it was worth the wait.

On the bright side, now that our house guests and their associated luggage have left the building, I have space to block my Skiftie. It's way too warm to wear it now, but it will be ready to wear next Winter.
This cost us more than 1K€ to fix. Three weeks in total with the loan car from the mechanic. I asked weeks ago if it could have been rodent damage...

My cousin is visiting from Australia and Munich decided to turn on the pretty weather.
My Dad always used to donate blood, and received two corneas from organ donors in his lifetime. I have always been quite terrified of needles so didn't donate blood until after he passed away. I'm going to try and do it more often so if anyone in Munich ever wants a blood donor buddy, I'm game!
