Flying earlier this month. An animated World Cup statue in the ATL airport, flying into Sioux Falls, SD where the fields around town were gloriously green, and a crowd in the Denver airport -- not in line for food or anything; they were watching US v Belgium in the World Cup.

I went to a play in the Atlanta Fringe Festival at The Supermarket (Babylon Is An Action Verb, by Corregan Brown). While there, I took some photos of the art and other stuff in the venue.

I haven't been around here much for the last couple of months. Let's get caught up. Here are some random pics of my last couple of months. Nothing too exciting, but what the heck. I got a candle-operated lava lamp for my birthday. Did you know they can be candle-operated? Well, they can.

It says my JND rating is 0.0024, then says "You're seeing differences that most color scientists would call noise. If you're not already calibrating displays for a living, you're leaving money on the table."

Two days ago my BBS, Slumberland, was 35 years old. THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OLD. And still up and running with many of the same people hanging out on it. Not many BBSes have been up continuously for for 35 years, though dialup, telnet, and browser client. (Image is a screenshot I made in 2003. Wow.)

WTF, Krylon! (Left, an item -- a lava lamp cap -- painted with so-called "plum purple" spray paint. Right, the can showing how much false advertising this was.) I went ahead and painted the lamp anyway, thinking it might look OK, but I'm not thrilled with the result.

Haven't posted much 3d printing stuff lately, but I just uploaded this model I designed to Makerworld, and am about to put it on Printables. (The model is the gold label plate/drawer pull on the black box.) Gonna put these on my ridiculous number of filament boxes. makerworld.com/en/models/23...

19 years ago today I was knitting this entrelac scarf in a hotel room in Vancouver, BC. It was an anniversary trip. I don't have anniversaries any more, but I was planning to go somewhere interesting today because I usually do try to do that on the 27th, and then I woke up with vertigo. Dammit.

7. Lay the duvet sandwich on the bed. Adjust the corners a bit on the edge with the opening. VOILA! Duvet inside cover. AS IT SHOULD BE.
