On May 2nd, a Russian milblogger bragged about their constant drone attacks on Kherson minibuses, claiming "Collateral damage is minimal." According to official Ukrainian sources - which use the same photos - those May 2nd minibus attacks killed 2 civilians and wounded 11. t.me/osvedomitell...

Kherson. Red zone.

Dual-use transport. For the past two weeks, a war has been waged in Kherson against *marshrutkas*—or rather, against whatever remains of them. Trolleybuses, incidentally, are also being targeted as priority objectives.

Particular attention is paid to bus stops and locations used for loading and unloading dual-use cargo.

Collateral damage is minimal.

Another act of drone terror of the civilian population was committed by enemy troops this morning in Kherson. It is currently known that ten civilians were injured as a result of the drone strike.

Around 07 a.m. on the territory of the Dnieper district, the Russian military sent a strike UAV to a shuttle bus. As a result of the explosion, injuries incompatible with life were received by a 51-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman. Also, five men aged 25 to 64 years and a 53-year-old woman were previously diagnosed with mine-explosive injuries.

Another victim was hospitalized in serious condition. He was found multiple debris wounds to the trunk and limbs, closed traumatic brain and explosive injuries.

Subsequently, another passenger turned to the hospital on her own. A 55-year-old woman was diagnosed with a shrapnel wound to the head, concussion and mine-explosive injury.

Under the threat of repeated drone attacks, the investigative team of the police department No. 1 (Dniprovskyi) of the Kherson District Police Department documented another war crime committed by the army of the aggressor country. Police also evacuated several wounded and bodies of the dead.

On the fact of the attack, law enforcement officers began proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 438 "Military Crimes" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

За процесуального керівництва Харківської обласної прокуратури розпочато досудове розслідування за фактом вчинення воєнного злочину, що призвів до загибелі людей( ч. 2 ст. 438 КК України)

За даними слідства, 3 листопада 2025 року неподалік с. Кругляківка Куп’янського району російські військові завдали удари FPV-дронами по двом беззбройним цивільним людям.

Потерпілі йшли дорогою, тримаючи білий прапор, що свідчило про їхній небойовий статус. Внаслідок цілеспрямованої атаки вони та їх собака загинули на місці.

Поблизу місця влучання не було жодних військових об’єктів чи позицій.

Цей цинічний злочин є черговим свідченням систематичного ігнорування російськими військовими норм міжнародного гуманітарного права та права на життя цивільного населення.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of committing a war crime that led to the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

According to the investigation, on November 3, 2025, near the village of Kruglyakivka, Kupyansky district, Russian military personnel struck two unarmed civilians with FPV drones.

The victims were walking along the road, holding a white flag, which indicated their non-combatant status. As a result of the targeted attack, they and their dog died on the spot.

There were no military facilities or positions near the site of the hit.

This cynical crime is yet another evidence of the Russian military's systematic disregard for the norms of international humanitarian law and the right to life of the civilian population.

Enemy equipment is being destroyed. How convenient—hiding behind so-called "humanitarian missions" without notifying or coordinating their movement routes with the warring parties. Very convenient indeed. Especially given that the AFU constantly uses ambulances, buses, and similar vehicles for logistics.

Waste these bastards. Once, maybe twice—and we’ll either teach them a lesson, or they’ll simply run out of bodies.

Dual-use transport. Another piece of objective control footage from a UAV crew of the 18th Combined Arms Army, "Dnepr" Group of Forces—filmed not far from the location where the enemy staged an "attack on civilians." The video shows a dual-use vehicle that the AFU was utilizing for resupply or troop rotation. The vehicle was spotted within the Red Zone; its movement was unauthorized, and it bore no identifying markings. The UAV operator executed a standard engagement: a precision strike—and the vehicle was destroyed.

The Red Zone is slowly but surely advancing northward; any vehicle within it is a legitimate target, and any movement of manpower on the ground will be interdicted. The city will be cleared out, sector by sector.

На одном из участков Красной зоны наши операторы БпЛА из состава БпС 18 ОА ГВ "Днепр" (https://t.me/eskadron_bbps) засекли бронированный автомобиль с символикой ООН. ❗️Никаких официальных согласований, уведомлений или коридоров безопасности от этой «гуманитарной миссии» не поступало. В зоне активных боевых действий такой транспорт автоматически становится целью: ВСУ уже не раз использовали кареты скорой помощи и машины с эмблемами гуманитарных организаций для подвоза боеприпасов, ротации и вывоза раненых боевиков. Это стандартная военная хитрость противника.

На кадрах ОК чётко видно: автомобиль движется по Красной зоне. Наши расчёты мгновенно идентифицируют его как приоритетную цель и потенциально опасный объект. Первый удар приходится точно в корпус. После попадания — колонна останавливается, а личный состав скрывается. Вторым ударом оператор добивает транспорт двойного назначения. Машина полностью уничтожена.

Херсон — красная зона. Любой неопознанный транспорт, особенно приближающийся к линии фронта без предварительных договорённостей, расценивается как цель двойного назначения. Если бы это был действительно Красный Крест или реальная гуманитарная миссия ООН, они по открытым каналам связи связались бы с командованием ВС РФ, согласовали маршрут, время и коридор безопасности. Этого сделано не было. Значит — фальшивка. Противник давно играет по грязным правилам, прячась за защитную символику. Наши операторы отработали штатно: никто не даст врагу безнаказанно возить смерть под видом «миротворцев».

In one sector of the Red Zone, our UAV operators—members of the UAV Squadron of the 18th Combined Arms Army, "Dnepr" Group of Forces (https://t.me/eskadron_bbps)—detected an armored vehicle bearing UN markings. ❗️No official clearances, notifications, or safety corridors regarding this "humanitarian mission" had been received. In an active combat zone, such transport automatically becomes a target: the AFU has repeatedly utilized ambulances and vehicles displaying the emblems of humanitarian organizations to transport ammunition, rotate personnel, and evacuate wounded fighters. This is a standard military ruse employed by the enemy.

The footage clearly shows the vehicle moving through the Red Zone. Our crews instantly identified it as a priority target and a potentially dangerous object. The first strike landed precisely on the vehicle's hull. Following the hit, the column came to a halt, and the personnel took cover. With a second strike, the operator finished off the dual-use vehicle. The vehicle was completely destroyed.

Kherson is a Red Zone. Any unidentified transport—particularly any approaching the front line without prior arrangements—is treated as a dual-use target. Had this truly been the Red Cross or a genuine UN humanitarian mission, they would have contacted Russian Armed Forces command via open communication channels to coordinate their route, timing, and safety corridor. This was not done. Therefore, it was a fake. The enemy has long played by dirty rules, hiding behind protective insignia. Our operators executed their duties as per standard protocol: we will not allow the enemy to transport death with impunity while masquerading as "peacekeepers." - On March 12 and 13, rebel groups fired on a military convoy entering Pauk Township, killing 3 military dogs, injuring 2, and seizing 1 gun.
- On March 17, rebel groups intercepted a military convoy entering the western island from Sein Pangone Village in Mattara Township, killing 2 military dogs and injuring at least 7. The wounded military dogs fired unprovoked drones and heavy weapons at Tan Sya and Moe Tein villages yesterday, burning down 4 houses in Moe Tein village.
- On March 16, a new recruit from Battalion 60 surrendered to KNLA Battalion 9 in Kyauktay Township.
- In Mogok, where fighting has been ongoing since March 10, fighting was intense yesterday near Baw Badan and Kyauk Sin villages. The military has suffered casualties and the fighting is likely to continue as reinforcements are being sent by the army.
- During the fighting that broke out near Patta village in Myingyan Township on March 17, the military suffered heavy casualties and the wounded military dogs burned down Nat Nyun village yesterday. The military column burned down at least 10 villages in Myingyan Township.

Jeanne Shaheen is right about this: you need to be working at a rate of two week refresh/iteration cycles to be competitive in modern drone warfare (which the Ukrainians have mastered), not a six month one. What she doesn’t mention: you’ll also need cheap Chinese parts to realistically do this.

While lawmakers were largely complimentary of the Drone Dominance program, Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., criticized the Pentagon for not more directly engaging with Ukrainian drone makers.
"You're talking about six months as being expedited scheduling," said Shaheen, who recently visited Ukrainian drone producers in Odesa, Ukraine. "What they were talking about in Ukraine was iterating those drones every two weeks because of warfare. I don't know how we think we're going to compete if we're talking about an every six month schedule, and we're looking at our adversaries who are iterating on a weekly basis."

Community Peacemaker Teams, a human rights group based in Iraqi Kurdistan, says that hundreds of civilians have been killed by drone and air strikes in and around the Forbidden Zone. ❗️ Russian troops attacked an ambulance in the Kherson region.

In one of the settlements of the Bilozer community, the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on a team of doctors who rushed to the call.

The driver was diagnosed with an explosive injury and contusion. The paramedic was not injured. Both were evacuated to a safe place.

A 50-year-old man who came under enemy fire was also hospitalized. He has an explosive injury and leg injury. Medics are examining the victim.

Residents of the Bilozer community are again under attack by Russian drones.

As a result of dropping explosives from a drone, two civilians were injured in Novodmytrivka.

Both have blast injuries and contusions. Also, a 66-year-old man was wounded in the leg. A 71-year-old woman has injuries to her forearm and abdomen.

The victims were hospitalized for medical assistance.

Men, 61 and 65 years old, were injured due to the dropping of explosives from the drone.

The sample we received has a detection range of 600-800 meters. This means that a heat-contrast (difference of a fraction of a degree) target is now visible at night, in the bushes, behind non-monolithic obstacles. However, thermal imaging cameras do not see small obstacles, mesh, or small branches. The image has a delay. Organic obstacles in the surrounding nature are clearly visible only in the morning and evening, when their temperature differs from the ambient temperature. This is complemented by the not very good quality of video signal transmission over the analog path. But! A thermal imager is not a panacea or a miracle weapon. A thermal imager is more expensive than a regular camera. Thermal imagers are useless in fog, light rain, even light snow; protective smoke helps from them. Even a plastic$
