There’s been a lot of census chat for trans folks here and I really like the clarity of this: there are two ways to be counted as trans, one of them which doesn’t require you provide your ASAB but, if you’re a man or woman, does require you saying explicitly that you are trans.

My partner had a closer look too and found this - it looks like they are doing both this existing indicator and a new one that is based upon the gender marker.

Few things scratch the itch like editing together pieces from multiple recording takes and getting the edit points to sound totally seamless.
