Absolute heraldic overload in the Dome Church of Tallinn. Tiny sample of the heraldic funeral coats of arms in this magnificent cathedral #skystorians #heraldicbling #lookatmyblazon
RIP little fella. This is Gatsby. He was killed yesterday by a hit-and-run driver tearing through our village, which has no pavements and which, bizarrely, has not seen a reduction to 20mph like most such roads in Wales. He was only four, a quirky bugger, and we loved him. 😢🐶
@helengittos.bsky.social So this fell out of an old cardboard folder …
This was the best bit: before any actual rugby. Lamentable stuff I’m afraid. But well done Australia. Good to see them playing well again. #taxiforgatland #WALvAUS.
Just had a seminar on the regicide of 1649 in which the students characterised the royalists as “just a bunch of bad losers”. Seemed a bit harsh to me!

My book on a fascinating figure of the seventeenth century, Edward Vaughan, has just landed. If you like monstrous amounts of inter-generational litigation spruced up by a civil war, you might be interested. www.uwp.co.uk/book/the-tri... #EarlyModern
