I remember my parents getting this when it was new and now it's a quarter of a century old. Happy 25th, I feel old as fuck now.
played BBCF for the first time in like two years how do I remove this guy from the game
Thinking about how the gatefold art for Baldur's Gate has a giant screenshot spoiling what is literally the last room in the game.
Interested in checking this out because it's supposed to be a really detailed strategy game (based on a really detailed tabletop game). There might be one obstacle, though: idk shit about Star Trek.
looking at the definitive list of 3dfx Glide-compatible games and found a screenshot of maybe the most horrifying rendering bug I have ever seen in my life.
The words "Sword Art Online" here are so small. It's like they're ashamed (they should be).
Now that I have finished it, wow, that was maybe the most artifically-padded sub-20-hour RPG in the known universe. This encounter rate was so egregious that I could've turned them off entirely in a cheat device less than four hours into the game and still been strong enough to finish the game.
Decided to do the same thing for my main PC and console/emulation stuff. This is my first time having desktop icons on my primary PC in over a decade.
Making a backlog specifically for games I want to finish on my Windows XP machine and good god this is too many games I think I'm gonna need another three months off
I have found it: the fakest-looking real video game ever made. I didn't even know there was a sequel to Stonekeep (that wasn't canceled). 17 years after the original as a WiiWare exclusive is so confusing.
Found a leaderboard for an Unreal Tournament 1v1 league from 2000 and one of the top players was a dialup player in Japan playing against almost exclusively NA players (I know ICQ doesn't work anymore but numbers censored for privacy anyway)
I read this bit from a 1998 MacWorld article about the state of Mac gaming and thought it was laughable cope and then I actually looked at the library and honestly this banger quotient is kinda hard to argue with
Late-2000s GameFAQs forum users if you dared recommend anything that wasn't a JRPG or a Nintendo game.
Learned about PCI cards for old Power Macintoshes that were basically entire DirectX-compliant Pentium PCs on a card and it led me to the most psychotically-priced eBay listing I have ever seen in my life.
This is about to start the most long-winded "which cut is the best" argument in cinematic history.
Goddamn that was an experience. Its mindblowing sense of scale and genuine sense of adventure were what gave me the endurance to survive some of the hardest platforming challenges I have ever faced in a video game. TR1's level design makes me feel like I have never been in a room before.
