Garmin Pilot! it's cheaper and (less good but still) like ForeFlight; the ultimate in "yeah, technically it has checklists, but it sucks, but it's still free" is FltPlan Go, but even at free it's a little steep.

The image captured depicts a cloudless sky above a conifer-covered mountain with just a little bit of snow remaining in its highest recesses and scattered here and there along presumably shaded or deeper areas. the foreground has a short stretch of highway leading from image center to the lower right of the image. some kind of sign pole is to the right of the road.

from foreground to Elk Mountain in the background, there are grass/scrub lands with occasional snow fences and dirt roads; otherwise, the scene looks bereft of all human habitation.

The scene is something like scrubland, with patchy grasses in the foreground and low evergreens and shrubs in the background. Passing on a dirt patch between vegetation is a fox-like creature with brown fur and a little black tip on the tail. The fox looks to be trotting from left to right, staring straight ahead. What makes this Trailcam Good is that the fox is holding a large fish in its jaw; the fish looks to be about a quarter of the fox's bodyweight.

A cow's head occupies the upper-right quarter of a trail camera image. The trail camera appears to be situated on a low, grassy ridge. There is a two-track trail leading into the distance, where a higher ridge is topped with trees. It looks to be autumn, as there are a couple trees showing yellow leaves. What makes the trailcam image good is the cow poking its grinning / smirking face into the frame from the top right. The cow almost seems to be sharing a knowing glance with the viewer.

from the first time i held one of these, i wondered whether it was from a video game or was going to be put in one.

yawmanflight.com is something i have wanted to try for just this reason: if i want the throttle cracked at 20% all the way from abeam to final and then idle over the threshold, it's just much more satisfying with an analog slider or something.
