Okay this is a step too far. Here's my lede, from months ago, next to the Sun's lede from today. @jesseapaul.bsky.social were you aware of this?
For context: 14% of Democrats support abortion bans. Only 13% of Democrats have a favorable view of Israel.
As always, it’s important note that the Jewish people are not a monolith, and polls show a range of complex sentiments on the issue within the Jewish community. Speaking for whole groups of people tends to be a risky gambit.
A lot of folks accuse all candidates who are critical of Israel of being antisemitic. The two main reasons seem to be (1) they think the accusation benefits a political project they support, or (2) the candidate is brown. But 80% of Dems are critical of Israel, so maybe it’s time to stop?
Love seeing how many times The Hill pushes basically the same news alert to run cover for Senate Republicans
Y’all might know @smotus.bsky.social from social media, but I mostly know him as a guy who’s just randomly in rooms I walk into
I was still young enough in 2008 to believe that no one could have seen it coming. Now I’m older, and I understand that they did see it coming and just hoped they could keep profiting and get out in time. Now even I can see it coming.
It’s nice to have almost every problem in our society embodied in a single news alert
Every three days, this war re-proves the eternal truth that people who work in finance are morons.
Oddly distracting that one of the agency’s attorneys has the same name as a Nazi party boss executed at Nuremberg.
I’ve actually been doing a study of these column types in wood (working on Doric now) and find Ionic to be the much more geometrically satisfying order. Corinthian can be beautiful, but Trump just likes it because it’s busy.
As a result of exposing ICE’s secret Colorado detention facilities, I am being aggressively doxxed by some charming people online. I’ll be fine — but CTR needs your support. We truly cannot do this important work without you. coloradotimesrecorder.com/about/#donate
A masterclass in equivocation from the mainstream media: we reported that ICE is using field offices (and other facilities) as secretive, undisclosed detention centers. ICE has confirmed as much. Yet Channel 7... 1/2
Last week, I reported that ICE is holding detainees, including children, in a network of unofficial detention facilities around the state. In its “denial” of that reporting, ICE…confirmed it’s holding detainees, including children, in a network of unofficial detention facilities around the state.
Exporting my twitter history of Havana Syndrome denialism to this platform for the sake of intellectual honesty and because Havana Syndrome is still fake.
You ever find yourself trying to look at an academic paper only to realize it’s going to cost you a lot of money to actually see it? It’s an underappreciated fact that Ghislaine Maxwell’s father invented that business model.
An interesting thing to note about this Epstein release: they collated the Trump accusations into a document, then added a “criminal history” column about complainants — not present in many of the files — as if they were specifically working to discredit allegations against Trump.
I always appreciate when sources give me amazing quotes, but I usually prefer when they aren’t as absolutely haunting as the one a University of Chicago political scientist gave me last week. coloradotimesrecorder.com/2026/01/davi...
Last year, the union I founded filed a complaint against a state senator for mistreatment of her staff. The complaint resulted in an ethics committee, while the senator said it was all a witch hunt by the union (below). Anyway, she was just convicted of felonies stemming from this.
