The government waived 66 laws to build a half-billion-dollar border wall. Activists in Lochiel, Arizona have spent 2+ weeks trying to stop it by keeping someone 50 feet up a centuries-old cottonwood around the clock.

More than 75% of respondents, cutting across the political spectrum, said they lacked complete faith in the upcoming midterm elections; among Democrats, nearly 40% were unsure, neutral, or mostly untrusting.
