First 9 years in my current place there were rodent. The moment i brought home my first kitten, all the rodents moved on. For this alone they earn their keep. To be honest they’re lousy hunters, but they’re effective deterrents.
How old is he in the kitten photo? 3-ish weeks? Here's my guy, then and now. He's 16 pounds.
Been going on for at least a week in my area. My older guy is pretty deaf but my younger one parks herself by my feet and trembles the tremble of her chihuahua lineage. And yes, she’s a mix. (The puppy pictured has been adopted and will be trembling with her new family.)
Volunteered at the shelter today and came home with these 4: my latest fosters. A litter of 2 1/2 to 3 wk old kittens who were turned in as i was about to leave. Very lucky timing as they NEEDED a foster. Nothing beats saving lives simply by saying yes!
I hit the jackpot in the dad dept. He taught me ethics and to stand in my own truth, regardless of what the rest of the crowd thought.
My 2 are getting up there in age. Flynn (left) is 16 this year and Ri (right) is 13 in the fall. I’d dial back on fosters and let him have some peace and quiet, but he really enjoys it. Puppies, though more work for me are a better fit for them. I can see myself taking a little post rainbow break.
This is Nester, the foster kitten who would get in the shower with me. This proclivity could not have happened to a better kitten as he had a slight case of ring woem and needed frequent baths.
Wow!!!! My old guy is 16 this year. Don’t know the exact birthday. And I just brought home a seven week old mini me for him. She’s temporary. #FosteringSavesLives
He’s cancelled that gig, too. Not into his music genre so never paid much attention but he has a soft spot in my heart since he and his family adopted a potential special needs foster pup from me: a 3 or 4 mo old shepherd who’d been dumped at the shelter with a jacked up hip. 1/
There was only a few weeks I had all 3 of them. The black one was 15 1/2. It was almost like she'd been waiting for a suitable replacement so the "baby boy" in the middle wouldn't be by himself. Enter a stout, middle aged pit who seemed stern but was really just a quiet, no-drama tank. All gone now.
And now that I'm on my device with photos of her: my actual car -- top down because that's how we rolled in dry weather. Fun ride but I couldn't abide those low profile tires. They blow WAY too easily.
I had a little ragtop roadster for a decade. Drove top down whenever possible, which was most of the time in LA. I don’t understand why anyone gets a convertible and doesn’t. I mean… hello??? Seen below w/top up so obv. A stock photo. tse1.mm.bing.net/th/id/OIP.-P...
From toe beans to murder mittens, draped casually over my torso at 5am, making biscuits while she sleeps.
Excellent. My mom was cremated and I had custody of her for a few months before flying with her back east. I brought her to LACMA, and The Huntington Botanical Gardens, and Art's Deli in Studio City for a pastrami sandwich. Then I packed one of my dog's cremains in with her so she wouldn't be alone.
