Stopped at Goodwill to drop stuff off & couldn’t resist looking at the books for sale. Got 9 books for $11, all replacement or extra copies for reader favorites. I pay out of my pocket but it helps to stretch my library’s budget for new books. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky
#MGLit mystery STEALING THE SCORE by @sylvialiu.bsky.social will keep the World Cup excitement going long after the final! 3 soccer fans come together to solve the mystery of disappearance of their favorite superstar & his prized cleats. Soccer themed story mixing friendship & intrigue.
At the end of the school year, I had to pack 10,000 library books for summer HVAC work. Things will be a mess when we get back, but these clipboard holders would help to set our school's library back up again. Any support/RP for our library program appreciated! #ClearTheList amzn.to/43KjrBl
Thanks to @unionsquarekids.bsky.social for sharing copies of @jamiesmart.bsky.social’s BUNNY VS. MONKEY graphic novel series with our school’s readers. With their colorful, action-filled panels & lots of humor, I think they’ll be a hit!
Thanks for a place to share. Looking for library lovers to grow the next generation of library fans! These supplies are for our MD school library & makerspace program serving 400+ students. Any support/RP to spread book joy appreciated! #ClearTheList amzn.to/43KjrBl
I can't be the only one who remembers the BUNNICULA series, right? Looking forward to introducing more readers to this series w/the graphic novel adaptation of HOWLIDAY INN, which finds Chester, Harold & Bunnicula caught up in a mystery when a dog goes missing. #MGLit @ssedlib.bsky.social
In I WANT EVERYTHING! by @sophyhenn.bsky.social, bold, colorful illustrations & simple, humorous text featuring back & forth interaction between 2 ghosts deliver an important message about valuing personal connections over tangible items. Sweet & definitely not spooky! #kidlit @ssedlib.bsky.social
I started work on the buttons for the incentive program that goes w/our state book award list. After students read a book, they get a button. With 250 readers in Grades 3-5 we need lots of buttons! Any help to #ClearTheList of button supplies is appreciated. amzn.to/43KjrBl
Had so much fun spending the afternoon at a community crafting space with friends! Made a jeweled picture frame, a beaded keychain & a beaded bookmark. Others made decorated flower pots, beaded earrings, shadow boxes. Definitely planning a return trip!
In @jendeoart.bsky.social's OTTER SPACE!, when Pip the otter turns green from swimming in seaweed, Pip & her friends decide she is from “otter” space & begin a quest to return her to her home planet. A sweet & silly celebration of friendship, imagination & problem solving. #kidlit
So excited to add these soccer themed #MGLit titles to our media center shelves for our school’s soccer-crazed readers, thanks to @christinadg.bsky.social. Which would you read first? #SchoolLibrary #TLSky
Everyone should have access to books in a library! We have a Toniebox in our library so that striving readers & readers w/mobility issues can access books in audio format. Can you help us #ClearTheList & add to our library's collection of Tonies titles? amzn.to/43KjrBl
The DESMOND COLE GHOST PATROL series is a favorite at my school, so I know readers are going to be excited about the graphic novel version of BEWARE THE WEREWOLF. A dogcatcher & a full moon--what could go wrong? Just the right amount of scares here for beginning readers. @ssedlib.bsky.social
Gordon Korman has done it again w/his new #MGLit book SLEEPLESS! 5 kids band together to investigate why they no longer need to sleep. As they develop friendships & unravel the mystery, what they find leads to a thoughtful examination of some big moral & ethical questions. 📚👍

In @kimbbbradley.bsky.social's PHOENIX, after struggling w/suddenly being uprooted & facing the challenges of starting over in a new place, the arrival of an abandoned horse helps Harper to heal & build community. #MGLit for fans of horse stories & realistic fiction focused on families & friends.
Summer means extra reading time! Just finished THE TAKE by Kelly Yang. I loved her FRONT DESK series for middle grade readers, so I was excited to dive into her first book for adult readers. It didn’t disappoint—both suspenseful and thought provoking.
It's summer, but learning never stops! I finished a course for a microcredential in Science of Reading. Since I'm already Orton-Gillingham trained & was an elementary ELA specialist before moving to the library, most of the content wasn't new to me, but a review is always good.
In ON THE LOOSE IN LONDON by Dan Yaccarino w/art by Ethan Long, a pair of pup siblings head to London, each w/a different plan for how to explore the city’s famous sites, resulting in lots of chaos & laughs for readers. Fun graphic novel style early chapter book! #kidlit 📚👍 @ssedlib.bsky.social

In IZZY VS. CHEERLEADING by @joymccullough.bsky.social & @veedabybee.bsky.social, Izzy doesn't make the cheerleading team. She agrees to be the team mascot if she can keep her identity secret. Humor, relatable characters/themes & short length will make this a hit w/#MG readers. @ssedlib.bsky.social

Mango & Brash return in INVESTIGATORS: WEATHER OR NOT by @johngreenart.bsky.social, investigating a February heat wave & why the city's water supply turned to milk. One liners & clever puns carry the story & its message about climate change to a satisfying conclusion. #MGLit @mackidssl.bsky.social
SIR EDMUND OF THE WILD WEST by Dusti Bowling (art by @beffalumps.bsky.social) is mini goldendoodle approved! Lots of action & emotion in this book that mixes adventure, paranormal, history & mystery, all anchored by Edmund, a trained service dog & goldendoodle. #MGLit
Last week was super stressful & long & I’m having a hard time slowing my brain down to rest. As a distraction, I tried my hand at a small diamond painting bookmark craft kit this afternoon. Not bad!
Finally the last day…but still a lot to do. Over 150 boxes of books are packed and labeled thanks to an amazing collaborative effort. Today it’s time to tackle teacher technology… #SchoolLibrary
Tonight was 5th grade promotion. Our school tradition is to give each student a flower to give to an adult who’s had an impact on their lives. Proud to be a part of their journey through elementary school. Books—and relationships—matter!
