Love to see classic bad faith transphobia talking points called out by a reviewer but that make it through to the final paper

immediately follows. In my view, you don't really need to say that it would be counterproductive to abandon "male" and "female" and refer to the sexes as
'microgamete-producing' and 'macrogamete-producing' strategies. But if you think that's an important point, perhaps you could make it in the next section.

If you want an indication of how bad faith this whole thing is, check out the reviewer asking them to remove the proposed keywords “clarity” (incessantly used in political response to the UK’s transphobic Supreme Court FWS ruling) and “parental care” (obvious flashing transphobia red alert)

Keywords: Please clarify why "parental care" and "clarity" are reasonable choices as keywords for this manuscript.

The asymmetry here is absurd. Obviously, *denying* recognition of someone's identity is a very harsh, punitive form of "active intervention" which can have the uttermost serious consequences.

Accommodating social transition is an active intervention so schools and colleges should take a very careful approach 270. 15.31 The Danish national register-based study of 3,812 transgender people examined a range of outcomes in routine health records compared to age-matched controls (Glintborg et al., 2023).
This was a mixed group of adults and children/ young people. Follow-up was a maximum of 10 years after diagnosis.
15.32 At baseline, transgender persons were five times more likely than controls to have mental health disorders. The proportion of transgender persons with a prescription for psychopharmacological agents (medications to treat mental health) increased from less than 20% at baseline to more than 30% during follow-up. After the first year of treatment, there was a decreasing trend for the risk of mental and behavioural disorders in transgender persons, but they still remained at higher risk than controls throughout follow-up, especially transgender persons registered male at birth.

Quick look at the Cass Report re: data from Denmark It is interesting to see that Cass is presenting data from Waehre that she received as part of “personal communication” - what else did she absorb directly from this now discredited source?

Spot the “gender critical” “family and friends”

- Staff highlighted issues with the discharge process. To circumvent these problems, participants suggested managing all discharges at a national level.

- Some tamily and triends of patients suggested the clinics should consider focusing more on patients' mental health before progressing with other interventions and increase research and evidence-based practices in trans-person care.

- Consider providing support to patients' family and friends.

Just snagged this OP vinyl of Tilt by Scott Walker for 70p. Looked a mess cos it had bits of another cover stuck to the front but it’s cleaned off nicely. (Also snagged copies of 1,2,3 with knackered covers but excellent vinyl). Now I am going to bask in the otherworldly glow. #vinyl #NowSpinning
