I no longer have a photogenic cat for Caturday since Mabel died so I’ll have to post my pups. My cat Morris doesn’t hold still for photos.

We survived fireworks but it was a restless night with a 3am potty break after the booms stopped. Everyone is ready for a nap.
Washed the dog beds yesterday after Mabel’s death. No one would go to them I think because of her scent in them. Sad, but fixed. I miss my kitty.
Today I said goodbye to my old lady cat Mabel, who passed peacefully at home with family both two and four-legged 🌈 My therapist said I’m going through every major life transition except for having a baby and she’s right.
It’s the end of the line for my old lady cat Mabel. She’s stumbling through the house and is just existing. I’m scheduling with a vet to come to the house to help her pass peacefully. My heart is broken already

This old lady likely has kitty dementia and at 18, has decided pee pads on the floor are preferred over litter boxes. She likes to announce to me loudly that she’s used them, yowling as she carefully walks through the house.
Alfie has a lot of fear of nail clippers or motorized files but he did allow me to file his back dew claws with my nail tech’s disposable file. It is nice and soft but sanded down a good bit. I’ll have to get another one from the shop next time I’m there
