Latest embroidery - shelf fungus with faerie lights #Arting #SomethingIMade

In a wooden hoop, and embroidery of a light brown colored mushroom growing out of some tree bark. There are little tiny bits of moss on the bark and there is a string of beads representing fairy lights along the bottom edge of the mushroom along the tree trunk. There are little reflections of light embroidered into the tops of the bark flakes below them as well as individual bits of moss in the line of light.

It took me a long time to realize that my whole sun allergy thing *IS* a disability. It seems too absurd. I mean, allergic to the SUN?!? I mean, I'd love to not have to dress as a beekeeper astronaut just to go outside in daylight, but that's just something that'll never happen for me. 😕

We made a sign appropriate for a Sci-Fi convention. Elevator is still broken, but at least I'm not inside it!

A letter sized piece of paper is taped across the point where two steel elevator doors meet. It says, caution: this elevator is a mimic. It *will* eat you. There is a stairwell down the hall on your left, and a bank of actual elevators by the front lobby.

Thank you half of a table draped with a gold chiffon cloth with black swirly embroidery on it. There is a stand with about a dozen and a half pieces of embroidery and Tiny paintings, and in front of that is a shiny cardboard box with a spider on top of it that is made out of a vacuum tube and wire, a mini watercolor painting of a beach in Iceland and the mini watercolor painting of first trees, a tiny water color being pink held by a crow, and then to the right of that is a beaded embroidery of a tree canopy hanging on a hook that is rested Atop A Mossy pedestal. There are two mannequin heads, each with beaded head pieces, and there is a small tiara with glass beads and turquoise on it.

A better picture of all of the embroidery pieces and paintings hanging up. A range in size from 3 to 8 in for the embroideries and one inch to business card size for the paintings. There are also some I hope the Sun Catchers made from cut glass beads and large prisms.

New embroidery I finished, today: #Arting #SomethingIMade

In a wooden hoop painted black, a nighttime forest scene is embroidered. There are assorted trees from the foreground to the background. Bits of little green plants poke up around their bases. The largest tree in the center has a bit of a "gnome hole" at its base, and a cloud of fireflies is emerging from it. In front of it is a fairy ring of blue mushrooms that each give off their own little glow. There is a ring of black seed beads sewn around the perimeter of the hoop.

Eternal Midnight Cruise 2-layer embroidery I thought a totally dark sky would be kind of boring, so I went with how the sky looked during a solar eclipse. #Embroidery #Arting #SomethingIMade

This morning's bedhead is... not that bad, actually. WTF is up with that?

'Tis I, bleary-eyed and slightly disheveled, taking a selfie before I go out before 6:30am to water the gardens (because, otherwise, I would explode in the sun and heat, like some kind of DnD monster right after Matthew Mercer says, "How do you want to do this?") My long, curly brown and silver hair is down and looking kind of nice, thus leading to my puzzled expression.

I went out to water the gardens at 6:00 today, so that I could get back in before the sun crested the houses. It's just too soupy. I definitely need to do a lot of weeding, but that can wait. #Gardening

OK!!! I figured it out! I beaded on the embroidery itself, then on some tulle (individually knotted, otherwise we'd see the thread zig-zag), and then when I put one over the other... 3D fireflies! I need to paint the frames black and stitch them together. #Embroidery #Beading #Arting

In a wooden embroidery hoop - a sunset fading from golden yellow at hte horizon to blueish black at the top. Along the horizon are a number of assorted trees - mostly silhouetted, but showing a little bit of green in their leaves. Moving closer to the bottom are rows of darkened, muted green hills and stems of increasingly tall grass. The green gets a bit greener (though still dark) as it gets closer to the bottom. There are about a dozen and a half golden glass seed beads sewn onto it in assorted places (as well as a number of french knots done in yellow-gold thread).

In a wooden embroidery hoop mounted with dark colored tulle netting, a number of golden seed beads are sewn on in varying positions.
