Saliba out for months 😱. He is such a joy to watch on a football pitch. I might, as Barry Glendinnerlady suggests, have to pretend to enjoy watching the Arsenal. At least these guys have a good rest.
Love is love. It’s built on years of hope, suffering, & joy. This is what loving a football team means. You don’t walk away, or switch, or “pretend” to enjoy it. You understand how hard the journey is and then, when your team succeeds you don’t have to justify it, you take over the bloody streets.
Will be wearing the shirt of champions this night. May it bring Merino good fortune and may it bring a ball fumbling hex on thy Argentinian keeper of the goal.
