Luckily, 2026’s mascot – Auri – is just baffling rather than the cosmic horror that was Lumo, mascot of Eurovision 2025.

Picture of the 2026 Eurovision mascot Auri. I’ve seen somebody describe it as Gritty’s non-binary bisexual cousin and you know, they’re not that far off. The mascot is covered in fur and its colouring is an ombré mix of pink on top going through purple, navy and down to blue. It has a purple snout and a tuft of yellow hair which matches its rather fetching yellow headphones. It also has its own crossbody purse, which is red and in the shape of a heart.

This promo video popped up on my YT recommended feed. I’m guessing the guy on the left is playing Sherlock and that’s only because he’s wearing a flat cap, and this is a Guy Ritchie show, and Guy Ritchie thinks flat caps make his main characters look relatable and down to Earth.
