Shhhhhhhhhhhhh...nobody (real) actually cares. cankles and fat feet are disgusting - now waddle the feck off.
If it helps for comparison, this is my battery use by time and % for today on my personal phone. I don't use work phone for SM.
@chadbourn.bsky.social @nachonachoman.net Book recommendation. This is surreal and wonderful. Not out in HB til late October but I've had a sneaky ARC and it's addictive. www.waterstones.com/book/public-...
I've got this lined up for next. The cover has chicklit vuibes, but I love the synopsis and it feels lighter for warm weather somehow. I must be a winter serial killer 😂 plus I can't read a pink book in winter, it's all the wrongs.
If anyone wants a serious laugh go check this out. We are all Inverness Tourist Board 😂😂😂 @messmonstergigi.bsky.social I think you'll love this and if you have fb it's still going on.
#30books30days Appendix 2 of 2. Here we are, the final final day. I hope you've enjoyed it and been able to take something from it, I definitely have so thank you. My final continues as a little thread @ginny65.bsky.social @ursh.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social
Anyway, in other news. Terrible alleged DV triple murder. He's flown out of UK it seens.
It was a toss up between The Names and this. This is a lovely book and deserving of all the plaudits, but I think The Names is more original. However, I would happily recommend both and they are out in PB now. Someone in the book club put her name down for this and was number 27 on the list 😂
My newish neighbours are struggling because their front garden is open and we are bang on south facing, but I've got all this to cut out the direct sun.
#30books30days Appendix day 1 of 2 My best book of this year...so far. The Names by Florence Knapp Believe all the hype, it really is that good - albeit a tough subject matter. @themarthamyth.bsky.social @ginny65.bsky.social @ursh.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social
Day 30 #30books30days It's a doubles day with a bit of a food theme from me. Stanley Tucci needs no explanation. Black Cake is a glorious book about everything - kind of. @ursh.bsky.social @ginny65.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social
I didn't like The Help, but I got an ARC of her latest and I have to admit it was very good.
Day 29 #30books30days There's a huge buzz about this book and rightly so. Ignore the chicklit cover and dive in because it really is an absolute gem. The wedding people by Alison Espach. @ursh.bsky.social @ginny65.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social
Full thing if you scan it. Bearing in mind the trains in Yorkshire don't look like that, we still have chuff chuffs mostly.
You want a laugh...course you do. Tickets still available but apparently you need to be able to use a knife and fork on the buffet (wtf is that about) Anyway you can celebrate the "star" of Makersfield. 🤣
Day 28 #30books30days Extreme loud and incredibly close by Jonathan Safran Foer. Love his books, this one particularly. Also if US states are going to ban a book I'm for sure going to recommend it. @ginny65.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social @ursh.bsky.social
Day 27 #30books30days It's a 2 for 1 day. A book that reads as fiction but is fact and a fictional book based on fact (Bundy)- both excellent. @ginny65.bsky.social @ursh.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social
Never even tried Chaucer - just ran a mile from all of it *picks up current read which is basically Netflix in paper format 😂. I'm not a massive Patterson fan but I think he's just a brand for other authors now tbh.
Day 26 #30days30books Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man by Fannie Flagg. I love all her books, she's a subtle activist and very well know for one particular book/film, but this is where it all began. @ursh.bsky.social @ginny65.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social
She has a new one out later this year that I think is along the lines of Demon but with a young girl as main character.
Day 25 #30books30days Flight behaviour by Barbara Kingsolver. I love her writing but this is simply sublime. @ursh.bsky.social @ginny65.bsky.social @georginam2.bsky.social @themarthamyth.bsky.social
