My mom picked up a frame from the debris and apparently a montage of photos of their First Born Daughter fell out, so now there’s a shrine devoted to me (a bench where the photos are drying out)
I got a single text from my mom this morning. “It’s horrific.” Only got to speak with them for about seven minutes, but it’s devastating. Their entire community is destroyed. They haven’t been able to get into their storage unit yet, but they anticipate it’s a total loss as well.
They haven’t made it back yet, since this is the state of the roads. But it looks like a couple feet in the house, and at least 4 in the storage unit/garage. Their AC unit was ripped from the pad, and there’s no power.
10/10 TouchTunes choice at the corner bar post match. We have no idea who played it, but we are SINGING.
I would feel guilt about starting some spice regarding the World Cup, except I have a few days off to snuggle with my dog so I feel that this is the definition of unbothered? Anyway, Geaux Norway.
