Cordwainer Smith had a massive impact on me when I stumbled upon his SF as a teen (originally in Finnish translation). My username, Lurks-no-More, comes from a character in "The Lady who sailed The Soul", one Captain Grey-no-more!

This pic by John Blanche, used for some GW product covers, left an early impression on me. No wonder I tend to lean towards the "warrior skeleton" over "silly skeleton", even if the latter trope offers a lot of fun possibilities!
