Today is the kittens' 8wk birthday. Robin's litter is going back to the shelter for adoption. By this time next week, they'll be getting cuddled in their new homes! Gonna miss these guys!

It is the time of year to find birds in weird places. Today, found a Starling that fledged into a commercial storage space when ceiling insulation broke open. Got this little one outside, placed under the entrance to the nest. Hoping you make it to the skies soon, little buddy.

I have a graphic novel for this I've had since I was a real little kid. It's amazing I managed to hang on to this across so many years and 6 different states. My favorite segment was the meteor one and my sister's was the roaches.

When you work in vetmed, you have to have a lot of uncomfortable conversations about grim diagnotic findings and options for treatment and whether or not to treat at all. Making that call to my partner about our own cat, Ed, was a new experience and much more difficult to do.

So, this happened last night at our house. Spilled water on the foster cat and she exploded into smaller versions of herself. Now we have 8 weeks of kitten bliss.

My dog is an important person. You can tell from the bowtie.

All of the snails in our clinic aquarium have gathered in the center. Pretty sure there's a snail orgy going on right now.

The dog is sooooo drunk. Mushin enjoying(?) his post-sedation high, recovering in my office.
