I talk a lot about MCAS and TTRPGs. Canadian-Australian living in Alberta. Probably won't follow you if you're American. I get enough of that on every other social platform. Occasional Christian-posting. Occasional Ace-posting.
That's right y'all, I'm a Canadian immigrant three times over. (I immigrated to Canada, Dad immigrated to Canada, my maternal grandparents immigrated to Canada.)
Get yourself one of these bad boys and you can both prevent skin cancer and make new friends: www.etsy.com/ca/listing/6...
This thought brought to you by my favourite fidget / sensory tool, which is a "body tapper" from Relaxus (a wellness brand), and I love it 'cause it gives me the variable tactile pressure my body craves.
Yeah. The bill literally says this. Whatever MLA in charge of library stuff can send out inspectors, and then once they get a report back, DO WHATEVER THE HECK THEY WANT.
I have no desire to climb a mountain and yet I desperately wanna do the Snowies Alpine Walk. . . In short,
Ngl "develop personal beef with a local politician" feels like a much more fun and easily-achievable goal than "get involved in local politics".
Can’t stop thinking about a. the amusing spelling mistake (indepenDIDN'T lol) and b. how what actually happened is this www.elections.ab.ca/citizen-init... OP literally got a read receipt from Elections Alberta, and is conflating it with approval of a referendum.
My other favourite hymn is Your Peace Will Make Us One, which is written by Audrey Assad to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Gonna be thinking about this YouTube comment forever: "American car dearlerships don't so much sell cars as they use cars to sell Loans"
I mean look at this. Lightbulbs haven't been this fun since we invented them.
I have unfortunately become an absolute fiend for these yogurts. (Unfortunate for my zero-waste inclinations; none of the flavours come in larger tubs.)
Ok so I don't love the demisexual flag OR the grey ace flag but it turns out when you put them together they fix the problems of both flags? Behold, the demigreyace flag.
*sighs* I have a small sustainable fashion business and um unfortunately there is a third option. Divest from the production economy entirely. I'm coming face-to-face with the fact that I cannot in good conscience keep producing stuff that we don't need. I have to change my business model. 😕
One of my friends mentioned the other day that it looked like my one eye was slightly higher than the other one. And omg this would explain A LOT about various little vision and body problems I have. Did some messing around on Inkscape with a headshot and look! (The two lines are perpendicular.)
CW: food This is what Christmas dinner with MCAS looks like. 😂 (Don't be sad for me, I don't actually like ham that much, and I have chocolate cheesecake incoming for dessert and the fact that I can eat all of this means my MCAS is in a pretty stable place.)
TTRPGs and a marriage podcast seems like a weird combo but I just like listening to Sheila tear bad theology apart ok. (Also for half the year I was working on a purity culture ttrpg.) @worldsbeyondnumber.bsky.social @diceexploder.com @manysidedmedia.bsky.social @sheilagregoire.bsky.social

Chenille Vert, on display at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. The creator, COZIC, designed it as an interactive piece of art where the public manipulates the pieces to create something new and ever-changing. There's a "Do Not Touch" sign next to it.
Weslandia! Turns out my fascination for culture and anthropology and my dislike of single-family zoning started REAL young.
