I just can't get over that a government impact assessment says I'm more likely to get raped now but that's Okay because a tiny percentage of women would be more comfortable with that than just seeing me. The establishment acts like ANY part of this is normal 🤔

Concern that excluding trans women from female services could mean they have to use male services, where they could face a disproportionate risk of violence and sexual assault (although this will depend on the nature of the service in question).

Do you want the parts of the code? The code says that if a priest believes someone to be trans they can refuse to do a wedding. Not if they are trans- if they believe that one person is trans.

I believe there is a real risk of trans people being essentially segregated from public spaces. I

Reject the EHRC’s Code of Practice

Tam writing as Interim Women and Equalities lead of the Parliamentary Green Party to raise serious concerns over proposed guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which is not fit for purpose and will harm trans people living in the UK.

The Code of Practice for services, public functions, and associations is the culmination of years of well-funded campaigns to drive a minority group out of British public life. It sets out a system of segregation where trans people are excluded from services and spaces that reflect their gender, and in some cases also excluded from services and spaces that reflect their sex assigned at birth. Where unisex facilities exist, trans people will be forced into them. Where
they do not exist, trans people will be left with nowhere to go.

Your own Equalities Impact Assessment! on the code admits there will be a significant impact on those with the protected characteristic of gender reassignment - from forcing trans people to out themselves by using disabled toilets to putting trans women at greater risk of
sexual violence by making them use men’s services.

The Code of Practice is both cruel and confusing. Inconsistencies between the Code of Practice and its Equalities Impact Assessment, the Gender Recognition Act and the European Convention on Human Rights will leave organisations and service providers at risk of litigation from all sides. Frontline staff in spaces like cafes, gyms, and offices will be forced to police gender, whilst the costs of creating self-contained gender neutral facilities are estimated by your advisors as reaching £600m, which the government is providing no funding to cover.” am pleased to see associations, like the Women’s Institute and Girlguiding, given a potential route to serving trans and cisgender women, but this does not counteract the pain caused by the majority of the guidance.

By enacting this guidance, trans people will simply be scapegoated. Research by Translucent found there was just one complaint to English Unitary Authorities in 2025 concerning trans
women’s use of single-sex spaces, such as toilets and changing rooms.’ By refusing to act, your government is once again playing politics with trans people’s lives, rather than tackling real problems, like the soaring cost of living, rising inequality and the ongoing climate
crisis.

Trans people of all ages and backgrounds exist in communities across the country - and
always have. They have every right to thrive just as their cisgender friends, family members,

The new rules

The judgment introduces a regressive legal standard that will fundamentally alter the lives of potentially hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people:

· The vast majority of people currently protected by the DoLS safeguards system in the UK will likely see their existing checks and independent inspections cancelled.

· The Court implies that individuals with profound cognitive disabilities cannot be "deprived" of liberty because their condition limits their ability to experience it—a view that devalues their fundamental rights.

· The Court has suggested that in borderline cases, for a deprivation of liberty to exist, a care setting must closely mirror the extreme confinement of a prison cell.

· If a vulnerable person appears passive or does not actively protest their arrangements, the law may recognise this as "consent" — even if they are subjected to routine physical restraint or chemical sedation or have never known a life without a high level of restriction.

Not only has labour went above and beyond what the globally debunked¹ Cass Review says. They have covered up the suicides of trans youth²⁻³ and manufactured fake studies to cause further bans on the healthcare of trans kids⁴.

“Gender Identity Must Not Be Taught To Children”
Labour green lit the Tories RHSE Guidance which made it against the rules to talk about people having a gender, banned books that show transition in a way safe for children and made it is wrong to tell a child transition can be positive⁵⁻⁶. This has a cooling effect. In addition the new school guidance they are consulting on bans trans people from gendered play, forces teachers to out trans children to potentially abusive parents, tries to ban social transition in school and uses the language “gender questioning child” to stop the child from having equality act protections. ⁷⁻⁸

“Clarify that the protected characteristic of sex in the Equality Act means biological sex”
Labour by sitting back and accepting the supreme court judgement has fulfilled another conservative manifesto promise, in addition they did not remove the anti-trans Kishwer Falkner from the EHRC⁹ for a year allowing her to interfere on the supreme court judgement¹⁰. Kishwer wanted this outcome for the equality act and tried to get in before through primary legislation¹¹⁻¹². When selecting a new head to write the guidance Bridgett Philispon forced through a candidate with ties to anti-trans groups¹³, who could not denounce photographing suspected trans people who are in private spaces¹⁴ and was not rejected by both the Woman & Equalities Committee and Human
Rights Committee as unfit for the job¹⁵. It is the Job of the EHRC to be expert on the equality act and to suggest when it needs amended- they are failing to act independently¹⁶, (More alt text in next image)

guidance to change the very meaning of equality law¹⁷- while commissioners at the organisation claim that trans people never had the rights in the last 15 years¹⁸. The guidance’s own impact assessment says trans people are more likely to be assaulted, disabled people may struggle to find spaces and women will be judged on appearance but provides no tangible evidence of benefits.¹⁹

The implication of this section is very very intresting. The implication that trans women are forcing OBGYN to treat them when they have no related anatomy? Thats wild. Trans women need gynecological care post surgery and for the rest of their lives- this just denies tries women healthcare.

13.153 A hospital provides an Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) outpatient service. Only women and trans men need to use the service. The hospital provides the service to women and trans men in a way which preserves all users’ privacy and dignity. Where that is the case, it is unlikely to be proportionate to exclude a trans man because of objections from female service users.

The outpatient service does not offer any treatment which is suitable for a man or a trans woman and therefore can refuse to treat them. The hospital can also refuse to adjust the way in which it provides the service.
