wheat fields
After the smoke clears—& liberation has cost us too much we gather the seeds they wanted to extinguish out of us & begin to rebuild
they tried to disintegrate our dreams uproot us from our motherlands on occasion they succeeded
but even when the moon is eclipsed it shows itself again & so we rise

When the hegemonies fall
There will be a collective deep sigh
We will rejoice but first
First we will dream, for once knowing it can be reality.
we will weep for all the weeping taken from us during survival
We will hold hands and commune
ve will hug, we will build altars where in this lifetime everyone comes back
this time we know everyone was simply waiting for home to belong to US. And not those who wish to pillage and overtake it

Hey y’all so this is part of the Pinterest board For my current hybrid fiction in poetry afrofturistic queer romance manuscript #Blueskypit that I am shopping around.
