Jaymic, at the Edge of Dawn

Creative text writer (ONE, OTJ, DFT, TDM, Reality Fracture), cube designer, overall wordsmith. Genes make us human, but stories make us people. (he/him)
Mine here are all from @modflyalters.bsky.social! Mogis as an old DnD character of mine (original art by @kenishra.bsky.social) Wolverine as the better Wolverine, Laura Kinney (og art from a comic cover) Y'shtola as her Shadowbringers design (og art I think from Brave Exvius)
If you disregard actor likeness in favor of roles they've played...
I've been keeping track of a number of these as UB has expanded. It depends how closely you want to interpret it being the literal personal likeness vs roles played by the same actor.
Well, you already illustrated Roslynde once before, but you also expressed interest in her demi-prime draconic version...
Been seeing a lot of crime-fighting Catholics on the site lately... how about a few principled Protestants? Wolfsbane would like a word with a number of world and government leaders.
So to be clear, I love that Marvel Tokon is including a few deep cuts. Danger is a cool character that very few people know, and that makes fighting games more fun. However... I do feel slightly robbed that they dropped her sharp, intimidating design for what feels a bit too much like Hatsune Miku.
There's similar effects for other creature types too! I tried building kindred modules I could slot in and out between games - Vampires, Minotaurs, Eldrazi, etc - but never quite got it to a place I was happy with.
Some non-dragons that work particularly well. Spit Flame is repeatable discard fodder for Chainer!
First Strike Friday? Sounds like a wonderful time to remind everyone to stay unyielding and endure. Moreover the McGestapo must be defunded, abolished, and prosecuted.
Per our recent discussion... this is Roslynde, whom you depicted just recently. That is Bahamut, the draconic simulacrum she summons regularly. As events progress her essence becomes ever more influenced by powerful dragons, and if truly desperate she will use herself as a summoning vessel...
First four commander decks! I started with a literal pile of RUG cards (it wasn't called Temur yet), but Kemba and Kresh were my first proper builds. Jhoira, meanwhile, started my running tradition of building decks online I never actually play.
My attempts to create content sorta faded out but maybe creative text work counts?
I'm running out of specific notes, so I'll just post the rest of my standouts.
Specific shoutout to the art of Bahamut, the full version of which is breathtaking but rarely seen because the colorless frame crops it.
Then again, sometimes the alternate version is worth it.
I feel like some people (like me a year ago) get so focused on the alternate treatments they completely overlook the amazing base version art.
I don't think I can answer the flavor text one impartially, lol For art, though, I have some thoughts. A lot of them.
I got very into FFXIV this year... so here's my WoL, Roslynde Lodieux.
We got there, gang. (Thanks to a couple local friends)
