The Bradford Literature Festival has come to an end. The festival gets better every year with exhibitions, talks, book signings , discussions, culture, history, songs and street entertainment. Well done to everyone involved ❤️

My friend was over from the US, bravely booked on Mags Adventure Tours a 13.1km walk on the moors from Haworth to Thornton via the Emily Stone, Brontë Birthplace & Brontë Bell Chapel. I only tried to kill her a few times 😂 with steep inclines, searing heat & hanging over a ravine. 🤭Enjoyed the day

A year has passed since I was arrested under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 & detained for holding a paper sign opposing genocide. No court date yet as my trial has been postpone yet again, likely to be next year now. Thank you to the Labour Party who I voted for since I was 18 years old 😭

I went to a really interesting talk with Professor Marc David Baer author of The Children of Abraham about the history of Muslim-Jewish relationships. Interviewed by Peter Oborne, all went well until it came to present day when the Professor unfortunately didn't read the room & lost the audience.

An emotional evening at the Free Word Lecture with Misan Harriman who spoke about his life which was centred on photography and filmmaking, reflecting on the power of stories, images, and his responsibility and ours to bear witness to social change. Not a dry eye in the house #BradLitFest

There is so much on offer at the Bradford Literature Festival. Today I attended two events, an interesting panel discussion on What Britain thinks it is now? & an In conversation event with Green MP Hannah Spencer. Ethical ticketing gives everyone an opportunity to attend ❤️

At the Brad Lit Fest, to see Hannah Spencer MP. What a breath of fresh air she is, warm, kind caring & hilariously funny. She was wearing her controversial Gucci (Costa Brava) shirt especially for us 😂 told us that since her election applications from women for plastering & plumbing jobs increased

Spent a great evening at the Bradford Lit Fest. In conversation with the Palestinian Ambassador Husam Zomlot chaired by Humza Yousaf. Got to have a quick chat with both of them and quite by chance ended up in the same restaurant afterwards .

Last week Bradford welcomed Women from Jerusalem & the West Bank. A number of activities were arranged including a boxercise class, boat trip from Saltaire & an opportunity to meet people from the Bradford area & surrounds during the Women's Festival. All have returned home so I am now able to post.

Today I have to concentrate on writing my defence statement following the Royal Courts of Justice decision. So I wrote this silly, little ditty to focus my mind 😇

If you live in the Leeds area there is a second chance to meet the Women from the West Bank and Jerusalem tonight. I met them yesterday in Bradford. Well worth going to hear their stories and their simple desire to live in peace & enjoy the freedoms we all take for granted. ❤️

A wonderful evening spent with a group of women from towns and villages across the West Bank. We heard their stories of what life is like under occupation,the violence, humiliation & oppression.The common thread throughout was the need for peace & freedom. To protect the women we can't take photos.

Just a day to go before we meet with our visitors from Palestine. There might still be some tickets left, they are free but you do need to book ❤️

I got to speak with the CEO Jonathon Webb & Mark Chamberlain Chair of the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board about contracts with Palantir. They listened,welcomed us into the meeting & agreed to meet with us again acknowledging the strength of feeling from members of the public about Palantir

Daniel Bath told us that he met a Palestinian woman who told him what her favourite song was and said he must learn it, and sing for her, which he did ❤️

Had a lovely day today in Halifax supporting the Halifax Palestine pop up museum at their opening event, listening to musicians Daniel Bath and the wonderful Molly Tilston. Here is part of her rendition of a traditional Irish song, I believe it was called Erin, very haunting made me quite emotional.

Today in my continuing Stride for Palestinians fundraiser for MAP, I have hit the 200 mile mark in fact 202 miles. (325.8 kms) It would have been more, but for a fall coming back from the Brontes Falls (ironic) which aggravated a knee injury preventing me from doing any more long walks. Ends 26 June
