🌲 The Institute for Electronics goes hiking! We swapped the lab for the outdoors and spent a fantastic day at #Caumasee: sun, swimming, forest walks, and great company. ☀️ 🤗 With our amazing research group. #ETHZurich #DITET
💙 💛 Thank you Mykhailo Fedorov! Lots of hard work for 🇺🇦
Join our lab for a #MasterThesis and get this phase-change mug! Our master students don’t just assist, they often become #coauthors. 🔬 Explore phase-change #memory, #nanoparticles, colloid #chemistry, and #quantumdots. Contact me, Gözde, Jacopo, or Olesya about available projects. #ETHZurich #DITET
🪖 From our #ScienceSimply blog: Gold #nanoparticles tend to melt and clump when heated. We solved this by creating an ultrathin #oxide skin from the inside out using a #gold–#gallium alloy. The shell keeps nanoparticles stable up to 150 °C, enabling more durable nanomaterials for future #ETH #CMD
🎉 We’re excited to welcome Gözde Ceran, who has started her #PhD with our group! A talented chemist, supportive colleague, and a wonderful person, she already brings great #positiveenergy to the lab. Wishing you an inspiring #PhD journey and many exciting #nanodiscoveries ahead! 🚀🌟 #ETH #CMD #D-ITET
⛰️ Best day of July so far! Conquering a summit with my fellow #DITET profs. This is quickly becoming a favorite tradition. Join our movement! 🥾 ☀️ 🤗 With Lana Josipović Mickael Perrin Laura Bégon-Lours Morteza Aramesh #ETHZurich #DITET #Hiking #TeamBuilding #SwissAlps
🔬 Making perfect #nanoparticles without guesswork. We used real-time X-rays to watch #gallium nanoparticles form and discovered that surface #ligands control both nucleation and growth. This enables more reliable synthesis for electronics, medicine, and future nanomaterials. #ScienceSimply #ETH #CMD
Conducting highly rigorous, in-the-field research on vitamin D synthesis using a very intense photon supply ☀️ #yaremaglobal
🚀 ECIO is amazing! Great science, warm connections, and endless inspiration at the intersection of academia and industry. Honored to contribute as a program committee member and session chair while learning from brilliant colleagues. 👏 #ECIO2026 #Photonics
Don’t miss the Swiss Chemical Society (SCS) Fall Meeting in Bern! 🧪 August 27-28, 2026 | University of Bern I am organizing the #Materials #Chemistry track this year. Apply for a short talk or poster! 🚀
🌱 Watching a bold idea thrive against all odds is deeply rewarding. Proud to see the ETH–KSE engineering partnership grow from a master’s program into an ecosystem of new educational and research initiatives. 🇨🇭🤝🇺🇦 Inspired by the KSE team’s resilience and optimism. 🚀
If you can visit imec, do seize this opportunity! 😲 A true frontier of human innovation and one of the places where the future of 🇪🇺 microchip technology will materialize. Thanks heaps for inviting! 🤗
🤔 Freethinking with my #colleagues and #friends at the annual departmental retreat in peaceful #Einsiedeln. It feels great to see that we share the same mission and vision for our research, teaching, and future development 💛 ETH Zurich, Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering
