OUR FLAGS! NOT THEIRS! North East England - Christian, Lib Dem, love family, travel, reading, food, laughter, classical music and wildlife. Committed to social justice, Europe and a fairer, more sustainable world. I follow back. Will you?
Yea. I found his grave by accident. It's on a lonely hillside looking out over the Northumberland landscape. The church is on a very ancient site - perhaps even Anglo-Saxon.
I guess you're at work now. This is my favourite. We have them on the small streams that run into the river in the village where I live. Hope you have a good day.
Well I can't offer you penguins, but these guys live close by. I always think they're the next best thing.
Seen today in Gouda, Netherlands. These small plaques remember the holocaust by commemorating individual Jewish and other people who were murdered by the Nazis during the holocaust! Don't ever dare deny it! Don't allow others to deny it!
The Meuse Bridge, Dinant, Belgium. The Union Flag flies alongside other European flags. I can dream, can't I? The flag was real. The place was real. It is today! But we need to make the dream reality.
Late sunset on a cool April evening from the bridge in Corbridge. Swallows flying, a heron in the river, wagtails, mallard and possibly a merganser. So beautiful!
North Tyne at Bellingham - Good Friday. Beautiful walk.
Decades of friendship and trust gone up in smoke! How much more destruction and chaos is this abysmal president going to cause? Complicit Republicans should hang their heads in shame! Have the courage to admit their error and remove him.
A superb rainbow in the Northumberland sky at lunchtime today.
This thrush managed to raise its brood on a gatepost - the pic taken by a close friend.
Standing in front of this - the Magna Carta - makes me think that human rights are VERY IMPORTANT!
There's something in a name that gives a person that little something extra!
Does anyone feed Kitten with Chicken and Rice to their pets? Collecting for the food bank today and this caught my eye!
Sunrise this morning just north of Corbridge and south of Hadrian's Wall.
Johnson claims to be Christian. I'm a believing Christian. I find it difficult to reconcile the fact that we might believe in the same God. The one I've encountered is loving and forgiving, not hating and vengeful.
General Kellogg, 80, should stick to Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies!
Seen in a basket of books hoping to make money for charity - couldn't bring myself to touch it, never mind contemplate buying or reading it. But it's an international bestseller! And profound! What am I missing?
