I find it interesting (not surprising) that white Americans claim their race is less important than being American. But this is misleading since many white Americans (particularly conservatives) view being white as a prerequisite for being American. In other words, we all care about race a lot.

Yooo! I’m on book 2 of the Red Rising series and it is incredible. Darrow is a hell of a protagonist, and the depth of his allies/friends/enemies continues to impress me. I recommend the graphic audio version as well.
