I'm sewing a wheelchair poncho for a friend, with PUL slippery like an eel on one side & a super plush minky that is soft & fluffy like a bunny on the other. I really had to dig deep for this because what even is happening? Is there a seam there? Did I manage to catch both sides? Fuck if I know.

Here's my Superb Owl: a boreal owl hung out on our feeder all day in upstate NY in 2015. It was the first sighting of this little guy in NY since the 70s. When we posted about, people flipped out and wanted to drive from as far as Indiana and hang out in our back yard to see it again.

Christmas stocking goodies for a Nashvillian living in upstate NY

Ran across a painted cell for a Maurice Sendak cartoon at an antique store, just labeled "painted cartoon cell". They clearly had never seen it. I feel like this is some weird degrees-of-separation thing because they had no idea what show it came from and I did so therefore Maurice and I are BFFs.

Today's pastry haul from Bakery Suzanne just outside Saratoga Springs NY. Starting clockwise with the morning bun in the white bakery bag, then a Morello cherry Danish, Meyer lemon and caramel basket, hen of the woods Danish (in shadow) and a chocolate pecan croissant

I have to quilt this before my mom gets up here Saturday. It was pieced by my grandmother. My aunt has held onto it for decades. I don't want to do it bc my gmother purposely and purposefully ruined the lives of everyone close but my aunt really is wistfully nostalgic. It's novel/book stuff #quilts
