Yes, you are probably right about the possums who dine on the Camellias. I have tried everything to deter them including a vile smelling chilli & garlic spray. Nothing works! Camellias are espaliered on the fence outside our kitchen window. This is the Camellia You have great knowledge of Australia

Yes!! I am dealing with the bigger one 😬 But, there is an extended family of them!! 8 at last count & they looked like this portly lass, who I have shared before. (She lived at our previous house, but her relatives look the same!) & they do eat a LOT 😥 & have started eating our Camellias again 😥

The pruning was done by experts, who actually climbed each tree to trim the tops & selective pruning on lower branches. I like the "waterfall" look cos I don't like formal hedging of plants 😉 We have lots of Birdies, who nest in them. Little English Blackbirds & tiny native Finches. We love them ♥️🐦♥️

Here are the Waterhousea trees along our driveway, Cynthia ♥️ They are very lush & the local possums have been dining on their leaves during the night 😥 Surprisingly, there was no dining last night after the trees were pruned! I am shocked, but, most delighted by the leaves being off the menu! 😂♥️🐨

Yikes! The deer repellent sounds just like the possum repellent that I have! Actually, every year is bad for plant predation in our gardens here, Cynthia 😥 This is my artistic display (😂) of plastic spikes to deter the possums. It looks terrible but the Camellia will grow over it eventually 🌸🩷

That is crazy to have snow in mid May, Rocky! We have had a very warm Autumn in southern Australia & the Gardenias are still blooming in our garden! They usually stop blooming in early March. Winter starts in June & I have never known it to be like this. Sending Koala hugs to you ♥️🐨🌾🌻🌼🏵☀️🦋🐦🌸

Winston & Miley were white Zebra Finches, but, they usually look like this. Wilbur is on the left with a red beak, brown cheeks & spotted feathers on his wings. Misty is on the right with an orange beak, black smudge on her chest & all grey in colour. We miss them too. Hoping to care for a Corgi ♥️

They are so beautiful ♥️ I love our Platypus & watching them swim. How are Irma & Lola? They are going to have such fun together ♥️♥️ For many years we cared for many Zebra Finches. They are about 3 inches tall & sing the sweetest songs ♥️ This is Winston & Miley. We miss them so much. I love Corgis too

Awww, how lovely to have Bunnies hopping along your patio, Linda ♥️🐰🐇 We had a Bunny in our garden several years ago. She had escaped from her family, who lived a block away from our house. She was so friendly & quite large. Her ears came up to my knee & I am only 5'2" tall 😂 Her name was Flopsy ♥️🐰🐇
