#Gamedev vibes today. Getting the hang of #Godot & GDScript. I prototyped a Runtime Node List system in #GDScript. Mega is assigned to the Player List with the List Subscriber Node, and the Camera reads the Player List to get the Position to track.

Results of #Godot platformer test, using the CharacterBody2D... It won't do for my needs. TLDR: It gets unreasonably jittery in some cases and handles ledges poorly. You may not 'see' the jitter in this footage because BSky's 30fps video. Anyway, I'll continue to iterate on my own character mover.

Adventures learning #Godot: I replicated the basics of my Retro Game Camera from Unreal. You can set the window to any size without breaking the aspect ratio and resolution of the game. Also lets you stretch the game screen to apply a 'post process' display aspect ratio to replicate retro consoles.

LETS GO! They're fixing Castlevania 64 (Legacy of Darkness version). Still a very early build but look at this! The camera is heavily improved too, although not perfect. Really looking forward to seeing how far they can push it. I ran the Windows build through Proton.

COSIGNED When used appropriately it can really help. In this silly pseudo-code I have three 3 conditions checked one at a time to help readability and debugging. If I wrote the exit code 3 times it would be a HUGE human error trap when someone fails to update all 3 one day.

My WiiU Pro Controller has been acting weird for a while now. I cleaned the inside thinking maybe it is a bad button connection. But it didn't help. It seems like it's dropping inputs every so often. Is this a known issue? Happens wired or wireless... #retrogaming

I don't see enough on how Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, is just unimaginably good. When the camera is on dude is HIM. Never drops the ball, start to finish, always a homerun (no pun intended?).

Microslop really trying to live up to their long legacy of shit controllers. And yeah, that translucent one's 'd-pad' is slightly ROTATED, and it absolutely causes problems. I know because I had both of these abominations before finding console -> USB converters lol.
