I make travel posters, and I've wanted to start a series based on my favourite TV locations for a while. Turns out #HeatedRivalry was just the kick in the pants I required. I've illustrated 2 scenes from The Cottage, a daytime one, and a night-time edition featuring the stupid Canadian Wolf Bird.

Outside the cockpit window, the world is topsy turvy. The sky is below and dark. The rain is falling up, and the quickly approaching village that should be below us is up instead.

It appears we are about to crash. It was nice knowing you.

In the passenger seat is a white haired, bearded man who appears terrified, eyes open wide, mouth agape, yelling something at us. Behind him, out the window we see the ocean shore and a car being dragged into it by the tentacles of an unseen monster. In the water we see a sailboat being chased by similar tentacles.

When we look in the top right corner of the vehicle we are in, we see the tip of three more tentacles entering our vehicle.

Now drive!

In a very dark scene, we appear to be deep in the ocean, in a trench. A large, futuristic submarine is diving still deeper. Through it's massive, floor to ceiling windshield, we see a team of four crew members pointing and eagerly searching. The submarine is lit with several bright search lights above and below and a long robotic arm.

Around the submarine we see glowing jellyfish, dozens of small black fish swimming in a long school that swirls throughout the image. In the foreground is deep see angler fish with a large, toothy underbite, a glowing appendage in front of its face, and transparent skin that allows us to see its skeleton.

Shall we dive deeper?

On the smartphone screen, we can see that the camera is currently live streaming. The entire video is made up of the inside of the bear's mouth. The live stream depicts the animal's tongue, molars, and deep ridges along the top of the mouth. Superimposed on the video is the word "LIVE", along with the recording symbol, a video counter showing the stream has been online for 33 minutes and 47 seconds.

Along the top of the screen we can see 4 bars of a cellular signal and a half-full battery symbol. On the left-hand side of the screen, on top of the video, we can see three comments on the video. In small talk bubbles, they read "OMG!!!", "What!", and "R U OK?"
