Wednesday was in my lap last night and that’s the second time she’s done that since she was 1 (she’s 3) and the last time she did that was when I should have gone to the hospital for appendicitis. Hopefully it was just a cat scan to make sure I’m okay.

A dear friend of ours finds herself in a very difficult situation. Her husband has to go to Toronto for medical procedures which could take months. They have an elder rescue Australian sheepdog mix who is about twelve, in very good health and super friendly. Sadly they won’t be able to take him with them. It’s heartbreaking for them but they are looking for a foster or even a rehome situation. He was raised with other dogs is medium build and loves people. Please help spread the word. He is available now. Distance is no object. We are happy to transport him.

I’m probably going to regret bringing this up, but the pet rehoming organization My Grandfather’s Cat keeps referring to people making the “noble” decision to choose MAiD. Spouting propaganda about MAiD is not necessary for the work they do, they could do that work without mentioning MAiD at all.

Meet Morley! He is a sweet 7 year old sweet, affectionate boy who has been doated on by his human since the day he was adopted by her.

Morley has his own seat, his own recliner and has never been told no when he asks for a snack.

Morley loves to spend his days curled by beside hi human on the couch to nap. He is a little shy with people that he does not know but once he gets to know you, or you call his name, he will show you affection affection.

While Morley is an indoor cat, he loves to watch the birds in his backyard. So much so, he has learned how to open the shutters to see out the window!

Agatha is a medium haired kitten in the sense that she has a longhaired mane, underarms, bloomers and tail, but the rest of her fur is fairly short. She looks gorgeous and ridiculous. Here she is trying to open a set of IKEA drawers. She has previously succeeded.

Oh my goodness, this is so wholesome. Someone lost their princess poodle stuffie around March 4/5 on Barrington Street in Halifax Nova Scotia. I think that every Nova Scotia public service employee should call in sick on 4/20 in response to Tim Houston’s back-to-office mandate. Here is the reply I got from MLA Brad McGowan’s assistant, in response to my mandate objections related to traffic congestion and COVID-19.

An email excerpt reads:

We deeply respect the important work public servants do every day. Bringing teams together in person strengthens collaboration, supports better problem solving, and helps ensure Nova Scotians receive the most effective and responsive public services possible.

Contrary to some claims, this does not mean the end of flexible work arrangements. This change relates specifically to remote work arrangements.

Case-by-case flexibility will continue, based on operational requirements and individual employees. These flexibility options include earned days off and modified work weeks.
