Day 2 of #NorthSeaJazzFestival some more time to see complete concerts. #MarcusMiller with the #WeWantMiles band doing a tribute to #MilesDavis with trumpetplayer #RusselGunn doing Miles’s parts. Again #CecileMcLorin and memorable #SunRaArkestra. Short connection with violist #MyrthevandeWeetering.

Russel Gunn got the honour to play the trumpet parts in the tribute to 100 years Miles Davis with Marcus Miller and the We Want Miles band.

Artist-in-residence Cecile McLorin Salvant here in an outfit inspired by the baroque era, playing a set with music also influenced by this.

A short connection with violist Myrthe van de Weetering on one of the stages at North Sea Jazz.

Sun Ra Arkestra were present on the first edition of North Sea Jazz in 1976. And here they are again in their full glory. Amazing outfits and memorable music.

I heard about #JR’s art installation ‘La Caverne du Pont Neuf’ and I knew I’d go. A creative, perhaps slightly mad idea, a tribute to #Christo & #Jeanne-Claude. I went on the hottest day ever in #Paris. If you can, go and see it before it’s gone. Simply wow! #Art #PontNeuf #marjamjars #ClassicMono

The Pont Neuf’s lanterns are still visible, whilst the bridge itself has been transformed into a cave. The inflatable sections and the rock-patterned fabric are secured with rope and cables. Paris, 23 June 2026.

As soon as I heard about #JR’s art installation ‘La Caverne du Pont Neuf’, I knew straight away that I’d go and see it. A tribute to #Christo and #Jeanne-Claude. A creative – and perhaps a little mad – idea. Had to reschedule my initial travel scheme due to a public transport strike today. So I went there (yesterday) 23 June 2026, the hottest day ever recorded in Paris. If you get the chance, be sure to go and have a look before it’s gone. Simply wow!
