Annual trip to Hudson NY for those sour English Morello cherries. Got them juiced and pasteurized today. Also bought 16 lbs of honey. Saturday we brew mead.

It's absolutely believable. @andrewperpetua.bsky.social is logging 137.9 confirmed video logged deaths a day through the war.

We continue to count the dead we see, even if I don't have time to publish much about it.

As I have stated before, observed deaths peak in winter and reach their minimum in June. This year is no different. This year we observed the most Russians killed in action in the winter, and also the most Russians killed in action in June. But June KIA (3610) are far below the winter numbers (5981 in January), as you can see in the charts.

There are some caveats, there is a backlog of videos I haven't had time to do yet, so the May numbers are suppressed, and will certainly go up. Maybe only by 10% though. June should be more or less complete.

Russian KIA are up 28% this year from last year.
Or to put it another way:

2025-01-01 through 2025-08-29 = 30,264 KIA
2026-01-01 through 2025-06-30 = 30,266 KIA

(and this is without finishing May, 2026)

Please don't ask me about whatever stats Ukraine posts, those numbers have literally nothing to do with what I am posing here.

These are observed Russian KIA from combat footage. Obituaries, MIA reports, and Ukrainian published stats are not combat footage.

How we count dead Russians: If a Russian is dead on video, it counts. If he's severely wounded in obviously unsurvivable manner, that counts. Vehicle losses do not count unless bodies are visible.
