While I had too much Rioja red last night, today calls for a cold white wine spritzer while prepping for dinner
Found on Mastodon:- You do not earn a billion dollars. You steal it. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a teacher, or a farmer. That money comes from underpaying the people who actually did the work. Stop worshipping hoarders who are just really good at wage theft. @orevaZSN
Past couple weeks my crazy cocker has shown a lot of attention to the back corner of the garden. NOW I know why. We have a hedgehog family nesting in the back corner 😊
The robin that sat on the back of my chair, in the vain hope we had cake or such like to snack on but sadly for him it was only disappointment as we only drank coffees. But we enjoyed his braveness, and snapped him 📷 as he hopped onto the table in front of me.
Open the loft hatch they said. It’ll help take the heat away they said. Like heck it did. This is ridiculous for nearly 11pm!

Baby prickle exploring with no fear - wasn’t bothered by crazy daisy the cocker spaniel who was keen to get closer; seen in the afternoon sunshine in south east Cornwall #hedgehog
Trematon Castle, a 12th century keep dating from early Norman conquest times, on the south west outskirts of Saltash, Cornwall, viewed across the verdant green of a wild flower filled field and cow parsley in the foreground. Sometimes seen in inset scenes on some episodes of BBC’s “Beyond Paradise”
What is she like? Cocker spaniel gazing longingly?! She only loves me when I’m not telling her off for being impulsive and running after other dogs and squirrels and pigeons. Get a cocker spaniel they said… 🙄
Best time of year. Spring is springing. It might still be a bit chill and damp but the plants are blossoming and buds are bursting. Ferns, woodland, hawthorn, flowers, primrose.
I just ordered a pair of high quality dog grooming scissors. Still lower cost than paying a grooming salon that effectively only runs clippers over the dog even when I ask for a reduction in length rather than a near shave. Thankfully she’s very happy to get the attention and stands still!
Had a lovely bank holiday Monday with family, and spotted a lovely home I’d love to buy but need to win the lottery *sigh* and while a decent amount of wine has already been consumed this Easter, I’m on a decent NZ Pinot Noir 🍷 because WTH, we’re all going to die soon thx to the criminal 🍊 anyway 🤷🏻♂️
A glorious sunny morning (if somewhat blustery) for a dog walk at Mounts Bay, around the corner from Perranuthnoe, looking across the bay to St Michael’s Mount with Marazion visible to the right and Penzance in the background, Cornwall on a Monday Bank Holiday, Easter 2026

@mrjamesob.bsky.social evolution of the western - modern English alphabet. I’ve had this on my computer since 2018 when I first saw it (I’m a graphic designer so this kind of thing fascinates me). Sadly don’t know the original source. #MysteryHour
Someone has noticed the big cats (leopards and lions) on the TV nature documentary and she’s transfixed. I’ve warned her that these cats are not like the ones she’s familiar with 😆 #dog #cockerspaniel
Hey USA *taps the sign* This shit doesn't happen in France, and l'll tell you why: the rich went too far and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in charge get above themselves, the French just stop working and everyone remembers who actually holds the real power.

Powerful critical words from Brian Jopek on Mastodon : “…using their cell phone cameras to document the cruelty of ICE raids … I'm reminded of something someone said when U.S. troops began liberating Nazi concentration camps in early 1945…” Full post attached image & Alt text
