This guy seems pretty cool generally, but I question the assertion that fascism has historically been defeated by "accurate analysis." I'd be happy to be proved incorrect. Also the twin poles of that & "pep rallies" doesn't seem.... smart?
Magic Castles at Parkway Theater last night debuting some songs from their forthcoming record. Chatham Rise were also in fine form.
If any other guitar dorks are on the fence about getting one of these little headphone amp modeling things I can recommend the Boss Katana Go. I was skeptical but it makes practicing/writing at home a lot cooler (& quieter) than a low-watt amp. You'll wanna get the app for fx, but it's flexible.

It's been kind of a long journey getting this guitar to forgive me after having the Bigsby put on, but I think we finally understand each other. A lotta careful nut shaving (heh) involved. Wasn't sure we'd ever get here.

Most recent changes are the recently acquired @fuzzgoddess.bsky.social Torn's Peaker (an amazing fuzz) & the Death by Audio Interstellar Overdriver Deluxe which I've had for several years but I don't think I've tried with the band yet. Sounded great last night
My brilliant dear friend @gergistheword.bsky.social, who is also Dallas Orbiter's drummer built his own drum shells which were featured in a woodworking guild expo in Eden Prairie Center this weekend. There was a lot of other really cool stuff there as well. Go check it out tomorrow if you can!
Our compressor convo inspired me to try both UA pedals together. The dual setting on the 1176 into the LA-2A is an INCREDIBLE od/distortion sound. I expected to be at the studio for an hour & it turned into 3.
