I do stuff that makes things appear on your telly. Personal account. 🏳️🌈 Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. He/him|Sé/é I block any new followers which do not have any content on their accounts.
Hasty and awkward edit with blunt scissors to a "Boss Cat" still for UK viewers.
Lifeboat Day in Donaghadee - visit the Lifeboat and Lighthouse 1400-1700 today.
Adverts for BEL-1, the Co-Op and Smithwicks from this day in 1980 from Ulster Television. (Adjusted for inflation that BEL-1 chipboard living room unit which is very much of its time would be £700!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjNH...
This is a great idea because I previously bought an invisible one and I've no idea where I put it.
Smoke from the recycling place fire in Belfast visible from Donaghadee.
More than 80% of NI power generation coming from renewables this evening.
One for @transdiffusion.org - the original reels of Tony Hatch's Downtown Radio jingles from 1976.
One last time at Downtown's studios at Kiltonga in Newtownards with @paulbuckle.bsky.social .
I guess it's possible some people who follow me might be interested in tonight's BBC Two schedule.
Here's a clip of Edgar reading the BBC Radio 4 News in 1982. This is the first report of Argentinians landing on the Falklands.
I was very sorry to learn today of the passing of our former BBC NI TV Presentation colleague Edgar Martin. This clip is from 1974 with Edgar at the controls in TV Continuity, preparing to put Scene Around Six on air. Our thoughts are with Edgar's family.
BT headline offer: £37.99 a month for 24 months. Except it is only actually £37.99 for one month, then £41.99 from the end of March and £45.99 from the end of next March.
I'm sure the majority of staff at Evri are doing their best but given my experience recently I now avoid any company using this company to deliver items. Stuff doesn't just vanish. It goes *somewhere*.
80% of Northern Ireland's electricity supply is generated by the wind tonight.
Realised it can split NI out and we're at nearly 80% renewables right now.
Currently 67% of electricity supply on the island of Ireland from wind.
Alison Limerick's 'Where Love Lives' is one of the top tunes of all time IMO. Applying the now standard John Lewis Christmas ad misery filter to it... <insert your own sound effect here>
This US Air Force plane on approach to Aldergrove is creating a lot of noise over the east of NI right now.
At 1750, 60 years ago today, The Magic Roundabout was first broadcast on the BBC. The story of the programme will be shown on BBC Four tonight at 1900.
I am in a pub which charges £7.70 a pint at Television Centre and the whole experience is *extremely* depressing. #WhatWeHaveLost
This trashy doc on Channel Five has some very strange deep letterbox cropping and framing for no reason at all and it looks ridiculous. "I can tell this story better if I don't use 40% of the screen and it will look like I'm making a film and not a cheap fast turnaround thing." 🙄
Confusing, as when I saw this URL I thought this was a repeat from 1998 but then noticed the QR code.
