I found the shaker where they keep most of you
I’ll try to post something good in the middle of this: Going to NYC Pride this weekend with my best friend was a very powerful healing experience for me, and finishing it off with Thai food and “But I’m a Cheerleader” made for a great day.
Last night I saw a really amazing solo acoustic performance by Venus de Mars, in a tiny theater. I’m going to go find out more about this person — I only know that she’s a musician from Minneapolis and she’s been out as trans since the late 80s — and then I’m going to write about her.
Two weeks ago they had a clue about “Bond. Covalent Bond.” Now this.
My kids have been in All Dinosaurs, All the Time mode for months, and yesterday their copy of @restingdinoface.bsky.social’s incredible “Dinosaurs: Profiles from a Lost World” arrived. This might be the most gorgeous dino book I’ve ever seen, and they’re blown away.
I’m in charge of Jolabokaflod in my house; for myself, I got @cynthiapelayo.bsky.social’s “Vanishing Daughters” and “Spooky Salmonweird” by my late online friend @chaoticauthor.online. Matt was the glue in Horror Writers Chat on Bsky and we’ll miss him.
I am positively Jah-awful at drawing and always have been, but my kids have asked me to do enough of it lately that I’ve improved marginally (by realizing that the legs kinda go in front of the body. To reward myself, here are two dinosaurs I did tonight.
The perfect album from the year I turned 16 (I was on a break from them at the time and got into it later)
If you think about it, the Titanic’s original trip was unfortunately “an immersive voyage” …
I don't know why it took me until now to think of this 🤣
So cute! A week ago we caught a feral kitten in our back yard. We couldn’t keep her but she’s beautiful and sweet, and on her way to a good home.
I see what you did there @walthickey.bsky.social
