This book keeps giving me and @stefaniegamarra.bsky.social a lot of satisfaction! After a Kirkus star, being a Foreward Indies Award finalist, winning the Indie Reader Discovery Award and the Ippy Award Gold Medal, we are now finalists for the Kirkus Indie Award! Fingers crossed on this one too!

It’s been a journey, from the first book I illustrated, to the last, which received a Kirkus star and is now a finalist in the Foreward Indie Book of the Year Awards! Two agents, three books in the submission trenches, and me, who would have never thought I could do something like this in life. ❤️

Lately I’ve been experimenting with the integration between traditional and digital media. The background is gouache, the trees were done using masking tape and the characters and details are digital coloured pencils. Let me know what you think of this forest adventure! #illustration #kidlit
